Welcome dear friends to a new year and to my blog. Accept peace and lovely greetings from my end as the year has begun on a good footing. I say welcome again as I pour out my insights on the topic of the week.

What does 'welcome' mean to you and what do you use it for? Mention 3 instances?

Welcome to me simple means ACCEPTANCE. It is a way of accepting something or someone or greeting someone with gladness or pleasure or satisfaction.

• Welcome is used to greet someone upon arrival acting as a sign of hospitably or courtesy or cordiality to the individual.

• Welcome is most seen at entrance into a house or a building. We can find this on many commercial buildings even at home doors.

• Welcome is also use at instances for appreciation especially when someone says thank you for doing something good or giving something to someone, my response is always You're welcome.

How do you feel when this word is used for you and how do you also think the person you use it for feels about it?

When this word is used to me I feel enlighted, happy, loved and it makes me feel belonging. Imagine going to visit a friend or loved one and he or she doesn't say welcome, you will feel not wanted and will want to leave immediately. When I receive that word there's a flow of sweet current running through my body that cannot be explained. So I feel well

With regards to another person I think the feel satisfied when they receive welcome in return to what they give or do to you. This makes them feel as to do more. It a silent motivation to the person that you will notice the person doing even what they haven't been asked to do

Why should you use this word more often and why is it important to teach our kids to use it?

In communication there are so many words which are used to get people going. WELCOME is one of those words which is used to convey a message to someone and also appreciate their efforts for a good job done.

Welcome is one of those important words which must be taught to children. It is a word which binds with our moral values as a person relating with each other. If you don't teach children that they are supposed to say welcome to someone who visits your home or they don't watch you do it to visitors then they will eventually grow with the attitude of not welcoming people. They will not see it necessary to appreciate someone who does something good.

The last week contest challenge talks about Charity begins at home and this is one of those words which children learn from parents. With my little Angel in the house when I give her something she says thank you I will reply you're welcome and she will smile and walk away with her thing. This is very important for children as they will grow up to implement it in their lives.

As you welcome 2024, what are your expectations and how do you intend to achieve them?

It's a brand new year full of many opportunities along with challenges but I welcome the year with a positive mind. I have goals relating to my job, family and other achievements I want to have including steemit. No matter what I plan to achieve everything, over shining every challenge and ensuring a drastic upward movement in my finances. I know for sure I will achieve them as I have a special covering from God Almighty.

CONCLUSION

Welcome is used often to represent, peace, love, solidarity and unity so let's learn to use it always. Let's not neglect it as it gradually sends people away from us without our notice.

Thanks for visiting my post dear friends. I will like to invite @adunni, @daprado1999 and @vickyson to join the contest
