WHO HERE HASN'T DONE A SINGLE HOUSE CHORE IN HIS OR HER LIFE? No one for sure because we get to do one or more everyday. This is something which we must do to ensure our comfort and satisfaction life. Definitely we can't do without any of them.

👉What does House Chores mean and what is your perception about it (do you enjoy it or not, tell us)

House chores are activities done in every home by parents and children regularly or everyday which includes washing, cleaning, ironing, cooking etc. These are activities that involves basically everyone especially children. At least everyone has got a chance to do one or more of these activities at home.

To me house chores is a good thing as it is the first step in educating children about the responsibilities of life, care and orderliness. Children who are deeply involved in house chores tend to be responsible people future. So it is our responsibility to train our children to start doing small tasks at home with their chores. Back in the days I can remember how my uncle will flog us if we didn't do our chores on time and correctly. We learned the hard way but it was a good one

House chores for me has always been fun right from childhood. Though there were times I didn't want to do it but with time I realized how helpful it is to me. Today I can do many things with ease as I got to learn them from childhood.

👉What is included in the house chores that is done in your house

House chores done in my house daily like in every other house includes following;

• Washing of kitchen utensils
• Washing of clothes
• Thorough cleaning of the house from the kitchen, all bedrooms, living room and verander including surroundings
• Daily cooking of fresh meals
• Fetching water
•Dusting of furnitures after two days
• Care for the environment to ensure our health safety
• Ironing of clothes especially for children immediately after washing

👉Which of them do you enjoy doing and how do you do them

My favourite chores then and now is cooking, I can cook 24 hours with no problem as I enjoy it so much. My family knows that and so doesn't bother about food as long as I am around. They're sure to have good meals always.

I always watched how passionate my grandmother was in giving at least something to chew to any guest that entered the compound. This triggered that aspect of always making sure those around me eat something. I am passionate about cooking and I love cooking. Sometimes I sing while I cook implying the joy I have at that moment.

The second thing I love doing is cleaning. I am someone who hate dirty environment and I am allergic to smell so I make sure I clean well to ensure my comfort. I actually enjoy doing this task and I always sing or listen to music while cleaning. Most times I dance too hence make the work flow without stress.

👉Why is house chores so important to you and the family

House chores has a lot of benefits to everyone of which include the following

• Building a sense of responsibility to everyone one (adult or child).

• Helps in keeping track of everyone hence you are accountable to every action you take at home.

• Building a good relationship between the children as the interact with the chores.

• Makes work lighter as everyone is engaged in different activities to ensure efficient running of the house.

• Building skills in children which will help them in future especially with seeking employment

• Enables smooth running, planning, functioning and management of the house as everything will become easier to handle

• The virtue of empathy is being built in everyone as we help eachother while doing the chores

• Building a spirit of a worker in everyone as no one will lazy around doing nothing hence the future will be fruitful.

• It enhances love between parents and children as children learn from parents how to do things properly.

👉Your advice to kids about how chores

I call on every child today to listen and learn from your parents. Carryout every chore with love and pay attention to every correction given. We are living in a circle where you're a child today and tomorrow you will be a parent and so will need to pass down these good lessons to your children. What will you teach your children if you can't learn how to clean or wash?. It will be very disastrous for any of you not to train your future children well. Children let's do every chore with gladness in our hearts.
