Application for Steem Kids & Parent Community - Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 19

Dear @steemitblog, following your invitation to apply for season 19 engagement challenge, we, at steem kids and parents community are willing and happy to apply for it.

Steem kids & Parents Community Purpose

We are a community for kids and parents/guardians and as such, our purpose is to support kids and parents. We will welcome all who are parents, guardians, and kids between the ages of 13 and 19 to feel free to share their publications in this expanded community.

We want all parents to feel a sense of belonging and to be part of their kid’s experience in this great community.
To know what their children are doing and to contribute towards their development.

To create a safe future for our kids and parents. We see a future where children are completely safe and have the best environments to pursue their dreams and aspirations alongside their parents through our community projects. We imagine a future where the steem blockchain powers real life-changing opportunities for children and parents all over the world.

Every child and parent matters and deserve all the best things in life. We aim at supporting children and parents around the world.

Steem Kids & parents community has long been a community for kids but has been expanded to include parents. The expanded post is here. We rebranded, changed our logo designs and the color and as well gave room for the parents to be verified in the community.

We have active admin and moderators who are willing and eager to review entries to the contests as soon as they are dropped or at most within 12 hours of the entry. We are here below, members with excess energy.

We have been able to build our steem power to 62,644.44sp. This is as a result of consistent power ups and with the help of the constant supports that we have been receiving as a community. We are committed to powering up our earnings because we understand the importance. We have also been consistently supporting members with it.

@drhira and @ngoenyi are in custody of all the keys and other moderators have the posting key to enable them perform some certain activities in the community.

Currently, all moderators review all publications in the community according to our turn. This is to say that we have been running an effective schedule for reviewing all the Publications made in the community as soon as they are published, at most, within 12 hours that they are published or a little beyond but not later than 24 hours.

To help ensure that there is a thorough review, @ngoenyi who is the admin go through all the publications each day, gather them on a Google sheet and check all if they are reviewed. She alerts the mod on duty to complete their reviews if anyone is left unreviewed. And the mods have been very hardworking and cooperative in this regard.

As we review, we encourage them to comment on other people's publications to encourage engagement, we also guide them to make quality publications. This has proved very effective as we offer direct tutorials to them.

Each individual user is different from the others and they all have unique problems in terms of improving the quality of their publications. It is at this background that steem kids and parents community check the individual publications of every member in order to give advice, corrections and suggestions for improvements. Each mod serves the purpose of advising users if they notice they are not making quality posts.

Our daily picks post published daily by the community contains instructions on how to improve the quality of Publications.

In this season 19 engagement challenge, we will like to challenge everyone to do something extra ordinary. We are presenting a challenge for every creative minds and to also encourage them to push themselves to the limits. We have already drafted 6 challenges that we will present in the forth coming season 19 if we are chosen. The 3 are below

👉In recycling challenge, we will like to see participants challenge themselves by recycling what is supposed to be trashed and making it fit for use again either enhancing the beauty or using it to create something new. All we want is to reduce wastages, cost and alleviate poverty. Getting new things from the market is very hard now, and as such, it will be great if families look inwards and see how they can manage what they have and still get the satisfaction that comes from it.

👉In cleaning challenge, we will like to see how our environment is kept clean. It is true that most people have it as a passion while some are struggling with it. We will like to learn as well as to teach how it is done. It could be cutting of grass, trees planting, washing, sweeping and many more. Just let us know how you did it and what you did.

👉In cooking challenge, it will be fun to learn from our chefs and to practice what we have been thought. It can be any menu at all. Just challenge yourself and do it. Show the ingredients and the steps as well as the final outcome. Then the challenges faced and how you plan to correct it.

The other challenges include

Drawing, Dance, origami. We will surely make this season more fun because we are ready.

• Because we are community for kids and parents and we form the pillar of every household around the world including steemit.

• We already check publications as they are posted in the community. We review as soon as possible and will double our efforts during engagement challenge as we demonstrated in season 14. We will also double and even triple our efforts this time if we are chosen.

• Steemkids community is bobbling forth with publications on a daily basis that are of good quality and as such, these ones deserve to be encouraged.

• We are consistently building our steempower despite being just less than 3 years. Our current sp is +62

• We have been actively educating and supporting the kids and parents all around the globe to make steemit a wonderful place for them to blog. And with the challenge we are going to present during this challenge, the kids and the parents alike will find something that will keep them busy and that can even form an avenue for likelihood.

• We only support publications that are steemexclusive and we mute plagiarized/AI contents. We do not even support less quality contents too.

• We run contests regularly with the community account along with the ones organized by some MODs.
