Week 2- A child, a million smiles 😁: How can you make a child smile 😁?

Assalam O Alaikum.

Children are the light of our lives. Their innocents smiles can makes the hardest of days brighter i believes making a child smile is one of the simplest yet most beautiful acts of kindness we can do. Today i am excited to share my experience of bringing happiness to my younger brothers and seeing their beautiful smiles.

What need did you notice that the kids around you have?

Living away from home in a hostel i miss my family a lot especially my four younger brothers. I know they miss me too and every time i visit home i try to make them feel loved and happy. I noticed that they often crave little surprises and treats that show i think of them even when i am far away.

How did you provide that need? It could be service or financial help?

During my recent visit home i decided to bring something that i knew would make my brothers smile. I bought some Dairy Milk chocolates for them. It was not a grand gesture but i know how much my brothers love chocolates. I carefully chose their favorite flavors imagining their excitement when they saw the treat.

How does the child feel about that need?

When i gave them the chocolates their eyes lit up with joy. They were so excited that they hugged me tightly laughing and thanking me. It was such a heartwarming moment. My youngest brother kept showing off his chocolate while the others could not stop smiling as they unwrapped theirs.

Just gift a child of something he or her really needs and tell us how the child feels about it?

I believe gifts do not always have to be expensive to bring happiness. Sometimes its the thought and love behind them that matters most. For my brothers the chocolates were more than just a sweet treat they were a symbol of my love and care. Watching their happy faces filled me with a sense of fulfillment. It reminded me that small acts of kindness can create big moments of happiness. Their smiles stayed with me long after i returned to the hostel.

Making a child smile does not require a big effort. Its about noticing their needs and fulfilling them in ways that make them feel valued and loved. For me it was a simple act of bringing chocolates for my brothers but for them it was a moment of joy and connection. If you want to bring a million smiles just look around and notice what the children near you need. Whether it’s a small gift a kind word or your time your gesture will surely create happiness that lasts.
