Introduction
Greetings to our students and esteemed community members.I am happy to present another lesson this week.We have been able to learn quite a lot from my previous lessons.Good afternoon to all the kids in the house.I know we are going to learn even more from this week 4 lesson.
This week we shall look at the topic Square of Numbers. It is a very simple and interesting topic.
Square Root of Numbers
Square Root which bears the symbol √ is a popular symbol in Mathematics. The square root of a certain number say 16 is a number that will multiple itself to give 16 which 4. So we can say that:
√16 = 4
The lesson is geared towards helping the kids to learn how to find the square root of a number using continues division. The procedure is similar to finding the LCM of a number which we treated in our last class.
To find the square root, divide the given number until it gets to 1.Then group the divisors in pairs and then multiply the pairs if they are more than one pair.Try to see the video for proper understanding.
👆This video is a proper guide on how to find the Square Root of numbers.
At this juncture.Let us carefully look at some practical examples which would help us to understand the topic very well.
NB:I have made a YouTube video that will help make the understanding much more easier.Endeavour to see the video.
