The question childhood or adulthood, which do you prefer is a technical question and seems really difficult to answer because both stages in life are essential and has both advantages and disadvantages.

The issue here is one must be more preferable than the other.

In Cameroon a child is regarded as a male or female below 18 years. So from 18years upward you are regarded as an adult. At this age it is believed you can reason and you can differentiate between bad and good. That is why at this stage in Cameroon you are allowed to make decisions on your own. Therefore you are accountable for any decision you make either good or bad. Young girls of this age are allowed to get married because they are regarded as adults.

Why i prefer childhhood than adulthood

1)The first reason is pampering
Every human loves being pampered but sometimes the way some adults are being treated either by older ones or society prints it is different. Sometimes it seems like adults don't need to be pampered and that's what makes me prefer my childhood to adulthood . I mean I miss those moments where I used to sit in my moms or dads labs

get pecs or kisses from them, how they used to buy biscuits, sweets, juice etc just to bribe me to stop crying😂. All they cared about me that time was my happiness. Below are some screenshots of pictures or things or places that give children happiness. Sorry mine is not there.

2)The second reason is playing
Oh how I missed those good moments I shared with my friends in the course of playing. We used to do what they called play play where we could get empty tins of milk or ovaltine, fix a place in the form of a fireside and prepare food such as beans, corn chaff, cocoyam, stolen rice😂 etc using those empty tins as pots to cook. I also miss those moments when we felt more comfortable playing inside rain or mud regardless of how nasty and dangerious it could be.

3)Not taken responsibility of my actions
As a child you are not responsible for your actions. Any decision your parents make whether good or bad, they are accountable for the outcome. This interests me a lot that whenever I think of it causes me to regret being an adult. Even in those days even if I destroyed something in the house the least my parents could do was shout at me or bit me but it still wouldn't change anything because they will still be the ones to buy another one.

The three elaborate reasons above cause me to prefer my childhood to adulthood. Adulthood has lots of responsibilities and the worst part of it is you are responsible for your actions yourself.

Nowadays adulthood is being regarded as a scam by some people to show how costly it is. Thank you all especially for the organizers of this article though i'm abit late.
