Effective Communication is the ability to strengthen family bonding? by @rakiya

Having an effective communication is the best way to strengthen family bonding because any relationship that lacks communication dies off naturally. I can say for sure this is true because I have been a witness to it. I will share with you a story of myself below so that you can understand the message I'm trying to share with you about effective communication.

When I started my first relationship, I left where I was staying and then went to school. Initially when I went there for the first time, we always speak with my boyfriend almost everyday and then that kept the fire in the relationship burning.

In the first semester, I spent about 4 months in school and we talked almost everyday. Coming back for the second semester I saw a lot of changes in him. The calls reduced and even when I call he will tell me let's talk later and later he won't call back. It continued this way for a while and from daily call, we started having call once a week and then before I would realise it the call stopped.

So that was how communication affected my relationship and today we are are not together with this young man and the reason for his action is still unknown to me. I didn't do anything wrong but all I know was that losing communication was the reason.

So from my story above, you can see the importance of effective communication. When we started and I was in school we talk daily and I was able to tell where and when he is at any point and time because we talk always but after a while we lost communication and I can no longer say anything about his whereabouts.

In my family, communication has been the bedrock of the family from day one. My family members ensure that everyday they have time to speak with their children atleast twice daily that is morning before going out and in the night before going to bed.

It has become a routine for my family to always make their morning and night prayers before going out and also before going to bed. So after the prayers, there is always 10-30 minutes of discussion which our parents ask us how is our day going to be and how our day went during the night.

We also discuss the challenge we had during the day and if there is a need to help my parents help either with their words of advice of financially if it requires that. So this has been the ways which effective communication has been able to strengthen the bond in my family because I know everything happening within the family at every given time.

When your family has such time for their self's always then they can give proper account about their members at all time because they always communicate.
