The National Child Welfare Policy of 1989 defines a child as anybody who is 12 years or below. However, a draft decree put into law has now set the age of the child in Nigeria as 18 years or below.link
Therefore, In Nigeria, a child is anyone who is 18years or below.

Adulthood or the age of consent in Nigeria is reached upon the attainment of age eighteen yearslink. So a person who is eighteen years and above in Nigeria is an adult.
Hmm, it was my dream when I was much younger to grow up fast, finish my education and leave my parents house but ever since I became independent, I have always wished I still enjoy the luxury of being a child. I prefer my childhood to adulthood.
I prefer my childhood to adulthood for the following reasons
—ZERO RESPONSIBILITY:As a child, all I did was have my bathe, eat, play with my friends, go to the school, come home, do my assignment, play and sleep. I could dress the way I like, I never felt the burden of any responsibility such as paying my school fee, stocking the house, clothing and other needs.
—PROTECTION: I never felt for once the need to look over my shoulder, I felt secure under the protection of my parents. I remember back then I would boast among my peers that if I was bullied by anyone, my father would arrest such bully.
—TIME: I had a lot of time for myself when I was a child, I could sleep all day , I could play all day, it felt like I had all the time in the world.
—FAMILY GET TOGETHER: I had wonderful siblings, we always had fun, especially at festivals, we would organize ourselves and decorate the house, then we would invite our mother to tell us fairy-tales.
I will always cherish my childhood days, the memories of my childhood were lovely and filled with fun, these are some of the reasons why I prefer my childhood to adulthood.

It is true that childhood were fun and with good memories. But the reality is that we can't go back to childhood.
I can see that you prefer childhood to adulthood because in childhood, you had no responsibility, you had protection and enough time to play.
