Dear parents,

Greetings to you all the wonderful and fantastic mummy's and daddy's in the house, here comes my diary that will talk about Involvement of children in domestic or house chores I believe it going to be interesting and knowledge based. Please stay and read with me.

It as come to my notice that most parents do not involve their wards in domestic activities especially wealthy parents who employ house help to do the chores forgetting that apart from academic learning their children also need to be actively involved in house chores. House chores is not only about cooking,it cut across washing of clothes, sweeping the house and keeping their plait clean after eating. I will cite three instances that prompt me to write ✍️✍️ this;

Firstly , I observed in my class that one of my students does not wear underwear I collected her mum phone number put a call across that I want to see her, the child in question is a girl child and her mother responded she came to school and I question her why she doesn't buy inner wear for her daughter, she started shedding tears and I was wondering what happened she said that the child doesn't like washing her inner wears sometimes if all are dirty she will start repeating the dirty once already worn. She begged me if I can talk to her that she is tired of washing undies for 11year old girl.

Moreover, another student still a girl child Came to school wearing polo instead of school uniform I wanted punishing her but I call her to find out and she told me saying my father forgot to Wash my uniform I was shocked, sometimes parents are the one encouraging their children. I believe if this children are thought at early age, properly monitored on how to do some chores they will do it perfectly. Times are changing, things are not the same as usual every parent should team up and put their children to work if we want a better generation, housemaids will not be there forever, robot can't do everything the earlier we adopt this method the better for the upcoming generation.

I shared responsibilities in the house because I can't do everything my little girl was the one doing even though she might make mistakes but I allow her to start learning, she started with sweeping the house

Before heading to boiling white rice so that everyone can eat, she nearly burn the pot but she was able to learn from her mistakes

We ate the good part and through the burnt side.
There's no learning without mistakes , mistakes are correctable

So while she was doing those things I was also doing my own part washing my clothes that makes the Job easier and faster, I finished very early and rested for that day compared to doing everything all alone

In the Evening , I Prepared porridge Yam it was so delicious meal we ate and went to bed

I believe in the notion that say the earlier the better,dear parents please let start early to inculcate good and sound standard into our wards lives because the Bible says in the book of proverbs 22:6 ,train up a child in the way he/she will go, when he/she is old he /she will not depart from it.
