Feeding Program for school children for week 2 is executed

Putting smiles on the faces of the kids in schools amidst this economic crisis is my concern. Children are supposed to be left out of this situation of the economy but no, they are the most vulnerable. Most of them go to school hungry and lack the strength to learn as a result. I truly feel for them when I see them and when I hear their stories.

Most kids are no longer in school as a result and they just room about. As one who goes about preaching the goodnews of God's kingdom, I hear a lot of stories and witness a lot of scenes where kids eat practically nothing and when they happen to see what to eat, it is just not nutritious or even enough for them. Hence, the love for this feeding program that I initiated weeks back.

Last week, we feed a whole school with cooked food and in my report here, I mentioned the challenges of feeding kids with cooked foods. Unless we get a strong green light from the school authorities, it will be uncooked foods from now.

And so, for this week 2, my team and I went again to a school in the heart of my city of residence to provide this food aid to the kids there. We focused on the primary school children there because they have the complete population that what we went with can feed. 150 children in number was the target. The name of the school is Greenpears international schools. It is in Akpasak Estate close to water board in Orun road.

I already reported in my diary game post here about how I went about purchasing the food items we went with.

And so on Thursday, I and my team went to the school during their break time to give them this food aid. It was noodles that we went with and so, there wasn't much stress with it unlike first week when I prepared cooked food very early.

Upon getting to the school, I put a call across to the School Administrator who said she was in the hospital at the moment with her child who is ill. However, she sent us a representative and instructed him on what to do.

After he met us and we introduced ourselves to him and why we were there, he said he had been briefed. Je then arranged for the kids to cue up outside according to their classes. In no time, they did that and we saw how happy they were. We took some pictures with them and ensured that they were smiling.

We then brought out the food aid we had gone with, I heard shouts of joy from them and that gave me the type of inner happiness and fulfilment that I crave for. This is really what these kids need, JOY and HAPPINESS and they got it.

Noodles were what we went with. But kids love noodles a lot. I begin to imagine what is in there that makes them this happy each time they hear or see noodles. We brought them all out and began distributing them to each child. Each of them received 2 and happily went back to their various classes.

The joy that fled the air was unimaginable! But I felt bad too. Why? Well, the second section were all out too and were all watching us as we shares the noodles only to the primary students. Their sad faces made me feel that I should also include them. They asked me if theirs were among. To even say that they were not part of the plan made me weak. But I had to promise them that theirs will be next week. I have been receiving calls of reports from the School Administrator that the secondary school kids are lamenting and reporting us to her that we ignores them.

It is on this premise that I and my team will go back to that school this coming week to attend to the secondary school children. They are as much as those in the primary section and as such, a week program will suffice.

We pray for these kids and their parents for blessings.

I am eagerly anticipating next weeks aid. Some of the schools we earlier visited and informed are calling on me to ask when we will be coming to their schools. We will keep spreading the smiles 😊😁 until it gets to them all.

I want to sincerely acknowledge the support and assistance of all the team members that joined in this aid

There's one thing I learnt from the charity of last week and that one thing the uncooked food used would serve as an incentive for the kids to prepare either dinner when they are back from school or breakfast in the morning when they are going to school. It also gives them the opportunity to show their parents who may appreciate what we did for the children. The smile is the bone of contention. We all did great. Can't wait for next week....🔥🔥🔥

You have said it all dear. Thanks for your supports and contributions.

The joy of giving is what made me follow this initiative, sincerely the motive of this charity is really showing on the faces of the children. For the secondary section of that school I felt for them that day ,they joyfully came out to watch us share their favorite noodle to the primary. It will be a nice idea if we go back and complete the sharing. Weldone ma'am.

We will surely go back and complete it. They are also kids and should benefit. Thanks for loving the kids and supporting the program. Better days ahead
