Weekly Contest 26 || The Diary Game || My Saturday In A Nutshell

Good day by beloved kids and parents across the globe, its a new week already and I'm glad to be here in your midst to participate in this diary contest being organized by our dear admin @m-fdo. I pray God should favour us this week and beyond as we set forth in search of our daily bread.

My weekend (Saturday) was so hectic for me, at work and at home,I think you already know that I also work on Saturdays too, I am not opportune to stay at home on Saturday as some of us here.

So that morning as i got to work, we had a lot of arrangements to do at work and this took us many hours to accomplished it, I believe it's because of the pattern of the arrangement, because that wasn't what we were picturing.

We began arranging the store, the office and the goods item from the hour of 10am till 1pm, it was way passed our lunch time, and we did squeezed out time to go eat before coming back to continue with our arrangements.

The arrangements was all about bringing out the old items we already had in the warehouse, clean them up repack and sort them out and also put price tag on each of them.

Later on some customers came in to buy goods for their kids so I had to abandoned my work and go attend to the customer, after they were done with their buying I went back to continue with my arrangement.

Few minutes to the closing time, more customers came in to make purchase, these customers stayed inside the shop making selections of different kind of items, they stay till it was 30minutes passed our closing time.

When they were finally done with their buying and left, we closed the store and went back to our different homes.

On my way home my friend called that he's on his way coming to visit me, he asked what food I have in the house and I told him soup and eba, he didn't want to eat that, so he sent me money to buy beans and potatoes and prepare.

Then I stopped by the mini-market to buy the necessary items i needed for the cooking before i went home. When I got home, it was about 7:20pm, I started preparing for the cooking as fast as i could before my friend will arrived.

I washed the beans and put into the pot and places it on the cooker, when it started boiling I sifter out the water off it then I put the sliced onions and covered it to boiled for about 30minutes.

When the beans has soften totally, I started adding the ingredients into the beans one after the other.

I stirred all the ingredients all together inside the pot of beans, then I covered it to boil again for about 10minutes, after that minutes of boiling, I just added another onions and red oil into the pot of beans, I stir it and allowed it to simmer for 5-10minutes.

After 10 minutes, my beans was done and ready to be consumed. Then I put the pot of potatoes on the cooker immediately.

Luckily when he arrived, I had finished cooking the beans, I was now peeling the potatoes at hand to boil, since he didn't want me to cook it mixture of potatoes and beans.

He said he was so hungry and that I should just dish the beans small for him to eat with the bread he brought while waiting for the potatoes to boil.

As I dished out the beans to him, and I saw the bread he brought, looking so fresh like it's from the oven, that was how I joined him in eating the beans with the bread. Though we did not planned on eating much of the bread, since we are waiting for the potatoes to get done, but we ended up eating half of the big bread till we were fully satisfied.

When the potatoes was finally done, i turned of the cooker and preserved them in the freezer, since we weren't eating it anymore for that day.

That was how my Saturday went and I was happy I could complete all my task for that day.
