I have never considered sharing the memories attached to the many pictures I had accumulated over the years which is why I have to commend this idea. Phones can get stolen, images can get destroyed but the contents shared here will remain.
This will be the first time that I would be participating in this contest, and I'm very excited to be sharing my memories here.

My Memories

My architectural building model

I was in my first year in the University and one of the courses we took that year was on "Design Appreciation" and we were each assigned a building plan to develop a model out of.
It was one of the most challenging project at the time and I didn't even know where to start from.
One of my roommates who also happened to be a close friend of mine from Secondary school helped me with the idea being an art student himself. Most people do not realize how much attention to measurement we put towards making building models.

The process took about 2 weeks and I can recall we were close to the deadline so I had to pull a 2-days back-to-back overnight episode just to complete it. Prior to these, I had never gone more than a day without sleeping.
After I completed it, I took a picture of it to commemorate my masterpiece. Yes, it was to me. So much sweat and time was put into making it that I didn't want to submit it again but I had to. I recall everyone looking at me as I strolled across the street to the faculty to submit my model. I was filled with so much pride.
After submission, I went back to my apartment and I took one of the most satisfactory nap that my body really needed.

Harmony, my best friend

This is a picture of my late dog, Harmony. Honestly I tried deleting this image after he died of cancer 2 years ago. It was a really tough time for me and I cried for days. The doctors couldn't do anything to help him and the best thing we could do was make him comfortable at home. I remember the last time he came to see me before he slept and didn't wake up, I could tell it was about time when he refused to eat his favorite meal.

He was a birthday gift from a family friend, I had just gotten out of high school and was usually alone at home with no one to talk to when Harmony came into my life. He was very lively, he made the long holiday worth while. He was always quick to defend me if he felt I was threatened by a visitor and boy was he loyal to the very end. I wrote an article about him after his death, he was laid to rest in the compound and even though he might not be here anymore, he lives on in my heart. Rest on, my little wolf friend.

My first site visit

Me in my safety gears

I'm a Quantity Surveyor and this was the first field trip I attended during my first year in the University. A popular contracting firm, Julius Berger, invited us to one of their construction sites. Of course we had to wear our safety gears to avoid accidents on site. It was a multi storey project with an underground parking lot, so a lot of heavy machineries were involved. A couple of my course mates were present together with other students from the faculty who were interested in the field trip. I didn't really learn a lot from the trip and I could barely make out what the Expatriates was saying at the time, regardless, it was an interesting event.

It feels interesting sharing my memories here on Steemit, I should do this more often. So, I'm inviting @bossj23, @goodybest, @jayjay42 and @adunni50 to also participate in this contest

What a lovely memory. You're really good in making houses using paper, nice.
I'm sorry too for your lost, it's always painful when we lost our dear pet, don't worry you'll see your harmony again.
