Hello @everyone, I am excited to take part in this contest titled "caring for aged and dependent relatives in the family."

We want to know if you have dependent relatives in your family and how your family has been caring for them.

Currently right now in my family, I can't say we have dependent relatives that need to be taken care of because everyone in my family is still young healthy, and strong enough to take care of themselves. My grandparents have all passed on and at the time when they were all alive my family gave them the best care ever.

My grandmother from my father's side lived for more than 100 years before she died. At the time when she was alive, we used to treat her like a Queen, and she was very happy with the way we cared for her. When my grandma was alive my dad hired a personal doctor for her, who usually came to check up on her at least thrice a week.

Myself and other grandchildren of my grandma would gather her and gist with her as she is a woman who loves talking. The type of care that my family showed to my late grandma, was a pleasant one and she enjoyed her stay with us at the time she visited my family.

We would also like to know whether you are doing that out of joy or forced.

I desire to grow old and if am taking care of any old person or dependent person around me because I am been forced to do so, when I get old it is the same way that I would be treated. All the care that I gave or showed to my grandmother when she was still alive was done out of joy.

My grandmother couldn't stay a day without mentioning my name or seeing me with her eyes. She always feels happy anytime she sees me or hears my voice. She used to call me my favorite grandson because all that I was doing for her was done out of joy and not forced. I don't like it when I am forced to do something, because I will end up messing up things.

What makes them dependent? Age or circumstances? The joys you derive from caring for them. Tell us your own story.

60 percent of aged people became independent due to age, while the remaining percentage of people who are aged became independent due to circumstances. In all and all I derive joy from caring for them because I know one day I will also become an old person. If I don't care for those who are old when I have the opportunity to do so, I might not be taken care of when I am old.

I believe that if a person wants to get age in life he or she must learn how to care for those who are age enough around him. I also derive joy in caring for aged people as I see it as an opportunity for me to support and receive blessings from elderly people.

I am inviting: @dove11, @simonnwigwe, @dave-hanny.

Hello, love, a blessing that your family is still old enough to be independent, that they are not sick, much less having to take care of a family member, your 100-year-old grandmother, God, what a great blessing, I'm sure I enjoyed talking to her about taking care of her the way she wanted. .

Always friend, what we give we receive and surely when you reach an advanced age your children and grandchildren will take care of you, in that case it varies as it says, people who need care by age and others by circunstancia.

Saludos 👍🇻🇪

Thanks for inviting me to this contest but I have already shared my views on this topic which sure needs to be highlighted and I congratulate this community for bringing up the best contests worth discussing.

Am happy you experienced the joy of taking care of your grandmother while she was alive. Caring for our old once should be a responsibility we are privileged to have. Some lost their parents at a very early age, they did not get the opportunity to say thank you to them, for their investments in there life's.

Although caring for a dependent is hard, it is extremely rewarding. When we do so, our children will eventually follow us. Therefore, we as parents will be passing on a positive lesson to our children.

It is good to care for those who are old. Thanks for stopping by.

Greetings friend,
It is very good news that you do not have dependent relatives in your family who need care. Because all of you are still healthy, and strong enough to take care of yourselves.

And I am very surprised that your grandmother lived to be 100 years old. And even before she died you served her like a queen. In fact, we should treat the grandparents of our family like kings and queens. Because they are the middle jewel of our family.

I wish you the best of luck for the competition.

Taking care of aged people would make them not feel bored or depressed which is why I like devoting my time to looking after them. Thanks for reading.

Saludos y bendiciones.
