HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY DONDON: THE DIARY GAME 7-28-2024

Dear Diary,

Hi everyone! I am back after days of inactive. It has been 2 days since we open the school year 2024-2025. But on Sunday, a day before the first day of school we had attended the 1st birthday of my husband's nephew,Dondon.

One afternoon, after attending Sunday service we headed directly to another city. We had been invited to the birthday party of my husband's nephew. It's a 2-hour travel. We brought our motorcycle but my husband was doubt to drive to the other city due to strict in road rules. Also, we had look on the cloudy weather that we might face rains when we go home. We parked our motorcycle before we enter to a next city and travelled by public buses in going there.

When we arrived on the place, we were very happy to see the decorations and the theme of the birthday boy. Her theme is red-white car. We came early before the 5pm dinner. So we keep on waiting while they continue to prepare the stage.

Before 5pm, the rain starts dropping. We looked sad for the celebration but we are anticipating that the weather later will cooperate. We waited when it stops. Later, the rain suddenly stopped and the parents of the birthday boy started the program. She greeted everyone who came and then she called my name for the opening prayer. We started singing happy birthday and a party popper popped after we sing. Then they have picture taking with her family first before starting the game.

While the family is having a picture taking, we also had a picture taking. My husband, Ezra and I were at the corner wearing the party hat. We stayed on the corner because rhe rain started dropping again.

PARLOR GAMES

The games were followed after the picture taking. Good thing that they have found a big umbrella to cover up by the rain. They continue the games even it's raining. There are children who came and enhoyed the game though its raining. There were 3 games only because the rain was making a little rainwater on the land.

This is the birthday boy, Dondon. He was carried by his uncle. He was watching the games while other children are enjoying. He can't walk yet that's why he can't join the games.

DINNER TIME

After the games, the parents of the celebrant announced dinner time. We had been given playes so we will be the one to go to the buffet table and choose food we want to eat. I wasn't ablw to take pictures because I am very hungry and I need to feed Ezra first so I forgot to take photos on the food. There were chicken calderata, chicken feet, fried chicken, bam-e and spaghetti.

They also distributed the loot bags for the kids and other sweets. Ezra, instead of eating first, she opened the loot bags and was very happy seeing different sweets and candies inside. I am a bit worry but it is her favorite but I limit her. Everyone is enjoying the food. Everyone invited is only part of their extended family that is why it seems enjoyable.

After we eat, as much as we want to stay, but our youngest daughter Psalm was at home with her babysitter. Also, we need to hurry so we can't face heavy rains in going home. We told the parents' celebrant that we will go home. It was a happy day for everyone.

As we go home, we will travel another 2-hour time to get home. But as expected, heavy rains came in the middle of our travel. But atleast at the day, we got home safe.
