Hi
Everyone it's good to be here participating in this contest today, thank you very much @steemkids community for this chance to participate, I appreciate.
Gratitude they say, is the very root and pillar of true love in every setting around the world.
Gratitude is the expression of the inner feelings, as nobody can see the hearts of men ❤️❤️.
Gratitude is also like a gum that binds hearts together be you white or black.
WHO IS TO TEACH GRATITUDE TO CHILDREN OR WARDS
Everyone in life in one time or the other expects gratitude from the people you have helped in one way or the other, from also the people you love. Gratitude makes the heart to glow.
So it is very important that parents or guidance should enculcate, teach and nurture grateful attitude into their children or wards day by day as they grow in the families.
Gratitude really starts from the families. As children are growing, they keep learning and practicing it, then develope to be grateful people in the societies thereby affecting the country and the world positively at large.
We already know that children today are the adults tomorrow, whatever they learnt now they will become in the future.
Children left on their own may not know the benefits and the importance of showing gratitude to their fellow children, adults, strangers or even people they don't know that has helped them in one way or the other.
Therefore, it's very important to show them gratitude whenever the need arises, for them to learn and show same to people they may meet in life or in their immediate families as they grow.
FROM WHERE OR HOW WILL THEY LEARN GRATITUDE;
Parents are the major people to teach gratitude to children. By showing them gratitude whenever they have done something right, no matter how little it is. Parents can also make it compulsory that our children or wards learn to say "please and thank you" from childhood so when they grow they will become people of gratitude. Parents are to practicalize this attitude at homes or everywhere they find themselves for onward transfer to the children or wards, they learn mostly by sight.
HOW TO SHOW GRATITUDE;
Find out something good someone has done for you and show appreciation by giving a hug.
Being thankful or grateful when children or adults cooked some meals for you.
Being appreciative of some one who helped you clean the house, kitchen or did some chores.
You can send a thank you note to the child or children. You can give them a hug.
You can render some free favour as by buying some candy, chocolates, lunch box of their favorite meals. Take them out for shopping, or just do something to show you're glad for their efforts, by so doing, children are learning the act of gratitude.
You can extend your hand on their arm to shake
Parents are to teach and nurture children into expressing these words of gratitude like "I can't thank you enough, words cannot express how much you mean to me, I'm eternally grateful for this and that you have done" parents or guidance can provide encouragement to children or wards by giving them compliments on a job well done. Parents can give flowers to show love and gratitude to the children that has done something good or very well.
One can show gratitude by paying attention to those little, little good works done by the children, in so doing, parents are teaching and nurturing their children and wards to be grateful individuals and adults as they grow up to adulthood and into the larger societies.
CONCLUSION
It is therefore known that parents and guidance are to teach and nurture children and wards to become grateful people, or to know how have a gratitude behavior from childhood to adulthood. Let's as parents do our best building responsible children that will sport or later turn to responsible adults. Let us always make gratitude actionable, that is how children learn.
I invite some friends to participate, @chigold, @ladyofpolicy, @chichieze.
Thank you everyone for making out time to read through my post. Prepared and written by @ijebest.
Nice post ma
Thanks @-ijebest for that write up on showing gratitude. The people whose responsibility it is to inculcate gratitude in children you clearly explained. This is quite timely in view of fact that the world we live in today is full of ingratitude and thankless individuals.
