✓ did you see a child that is afraid or that expressed fear, take a picture of him or her if it's possible and share but don't force them to be afraid 😟 for the purpose of this contest. Just observe.

Oh yes, I've seen a child that expressed deep fear as if he was going to be beating mercilessly,
It happened Last week Friday 13/12/2024 when we organized our school Christmas Carol, (Sky Target International Academy Riverside Masaka) link, majority of this pupils are not familiar with father Christmas or Santa Claus, then some of the pupils were like look at ojuju ("masquerade"), so it happened when Mr Santa was about sharing them gifts, on the process trying to hold them close while snapshot was going on, they started crying and protesting, some end up running, we the teachers we are left with no choice than to let them be.

Me and Santa Claus.

✓ what is the reason why he or she is afraid 😟 at the moment?

The reason is that, some of them are just meeting father Christmas for the very first time physically, that's what makes them to be very much afraid, though they might also think Mr Santa is harmful, from the background they were calling it ojuju, sorry I did not video them.

Another thing is that, if you tell a nigerian child look at ojuju is coming, to be honest he/she's gonna run for his dear life, I think that's what makes them to be afraid, the name "ojuju" (ojuju it's a Yuroba name in western part of Nigeria which means "masquerade").

✓ how do you feel when you see him or her express fear or is afraid?

To be honest I'm speechless and surprised to have found some of the pupils crying when we take them closer to go and receive gifts from Santa Claus, I was greatly shocked by their acts they were very serious about it ooo, you need to come and see cry.

At some point I began to let them go in other to avoid unnecessary crying, and I felt sorry for some which we forced them to go and collect their gifts from father Christmas, they really meant ojuju for real. Coz that's the name of them called father Christmas at first.

✓ what can you do or what have you done to stop him or her from being afraid 😟?

Technically, we make them to realize that, Santa Claus is harmless, he will not harm them or beat them, but rather they should go and collect their gifts, we gave them practical examples, how a teacher went closer shake hands with Santa collect the gifts and took the photos, however, some of them I had to hold them in my hands again as examples to the remaining one's.

All pictures are from my device Tecno pop7 pro.

By doing that some of them were able to muster courage to go closer while some could not due to fear that's surrounding them. I think that's little I can share with you all at this moment.

Thank you all for stopping by, I'm grateful...

Kind regards,
@ibraheem75
