Goodybest's Diary Thursday 25th July 2024: Attending My Kids' Graduation Ceremony
Dear Diary,
Yesterday was a great and fun day, one of my sons Fortune graduated from Early Years to Primary School, it was both an emotional and exciting time for all of us and he was one of the best graduating pupils. The ceremony was held on the school premises. Everywhere was decorated to highlight the joyous occasion.
I woke up early, to prepare in advance, my husband took them to cut their hair, and while I ironed my wig and dresses we would wear for the ceremony. When hubby was back, I prepared breakfast for them and then quickly went to a bakery to make an advanced booking for chocolate cake for my niece's graduation which will come next week on Tuesday. I came back home immediately I finalised everything.
At home, I freshened up, bathed the kids, fed my baby, dressed up, and was ready for the party. Before now hubby had come back from the office so we all were ready to leave.
The program started with the marching in of the graduands, Both Nursery 2 and outgoing students. After that the proprietor, gave an opening speech, welcoming the parents and congratulating the children on their milestones, the school did well during the academic section.
The children display different performances, reading the news in three different languages, English, Ibibio, and French, Singing, dancing, and sharing some fun facts. They showed their creativity and artistic ability in different plays, and I couldn't help but be proud to witness their growth.
Then it was time for the presentation of the Awards of the best pupils in each class, the smile on my son's face when they called his name was priceless; he was definitely proud of himself and his Dad and I was proud of him too!

It was time for all the graduands to cut the cake, they gathered around it and cut the cake, and then all the early day graduands were given certificates and portraits of themselves and their classmates. After the ceremony, we had a small party with the teachers, parents, and children, where we shared food, drinks, and conversation. The party was fun, and we had an opportunity to reflect on the journey that brought us to this point.
I had an opportunity to relate well with other parents during the party, we shared our experiences and jokes and our expectations for the next academic section. The conversation was insightful, and my kids' files, which contain their examination scripts, next-term fees, and the link to print their results. They all did excellently well and I'm so proud of them!
Getting home we freshened up, and I prepared rice, stew, and dodo for dinner. We really enjoyed ourselves. Overall, it was a pleasant day, I'm grateful to God Almighty for the successful academic year, and warming up for the upcoming one. I'm proud of my child and grateful for the teachers who took care of him in his Early Years. I look forward to the journey in Primary School and the opportunities that lie ahead, I believe he will do well just like his brother. This was it! See you in my next article!

Its good to see your child graduation success .It is such a proud moments for children's when there kids pass classes and they achieve success in it. As much as we feel proud of ourselves our parent too feel proud of us.
