Last week, we started the topic "Play-to-Earn and today, we would be heading to the second part of the lecture as we journey together to discuss one of the fun ways to earn in the crypto ecosystem. The lecture today would expose you to a Play-to-Earn platform that is easy to use and quite educative for our target audience.

Blockchain Cuties Universe
Blockchain Cuties Universe is an NFTs-based blockchain gaming that utilizes the model Play-to-Earn to incentivize gamers through their gaming activities on-chain. The company behind this great gaming platform was founded in 2017 and has been relevant when it comes to gaming platforms built on top of blockchain leveraging the technology to reward game lovers.
The gaming platform under discussion today is a virtual pet-based Play-to-Earn platform that offers gamers the opportunity to buy assets (virtual; cat, dog, hedgehog, bear, rabbit, fox, alien, owl, and so on), these assets can be purchased on the platform's marketplace while the gamer develops it to what they so wish to. In this section of our lecture today, you will learn about a few important features of this gaming platform, and how to navigate your way around it as a beginner in the quest to play to earn. Let's see some of them.

A marketplace literally means a place where certain assets are being listed for sale, or a place that connects buyers and sellers. On Blockchain cuties, the marketplace is the platform that displays all cuties listed for sale, for siring, and all others. A game player can utilize this place to choose any cutie of choice and buy them as the player owns it to himself/herself.

This filters the available cuties based on my preference and below is the list of cat cuties available on the TRON network on the Blockchain Cuties.

You can select any desired cuties to make a purchase, I have clicked on one and that's the image above. For you to purchase one, you must connect your crypto wallet, you will learn about this subsequently as you learn more in the coming lessons.
My Cuties
My cuties section is a collection of your assets (cuties), this is where you find different cuties you have bought and see the information about each, like the cutie type, the level, its generation, and so on. In this section, you can also choose to list the asset for sale, sire, breed, or send on an adventure. In short, whatever you wish to do with your asset can be processed from this interface of the gaming platform.

If you had bought cuties earlier, you can easily locate them using the my cuties feature of the platform, selected right from the top of the page. Let's proceed to another feature.
Adventures
As humans, we often embark on adventures to get closer to the things in the world we live in and most importantly our immediate environment. These cuties can also be sent on adventures to learn more and gain sufficient experience about their virtual world. Each round of adventures embarked on by a cutie adds up to its achievements and improves its quality on-chain. Let's see a cutie sent on an adventure below.
Adventures
From the top of the page, select adventure, click on " send on an adventure" under your cutie of choice, and choose a location for the adventure. For the cutie utilized for this lecture, it was sent on an adventure to the magical forest as we await what it comes back with. The cutie is busy looking for a foe in its adventure at the moment.

The cutie sent on an adventure found the foe it was looking for and now, it's a foe of bears which was added to its recent achievements.
Tournaments
The tournament feature of this platform is where your cuties can engage in battles against other cuties owned by other players and in the process earn reasonable rewards. The tournaments take place at different timestamps and there are specific requirements required for each of those tournaments, a cutie must possess the one required for a tournament before it can be eligible for participation.
Active tournaments
Above is the list of active tournaments on Blockchain Cuties, they are coming up at different dates/times, cuties stand the chance to win armors and other collectibles in the tournament which further level them up to qualify for bigger tournaments subsequently.
BCUG (Blockchain Cuties Universe Governance) Token
Blockchain Cuties Universe Governance token is the native token of the platform, there is a benefit for everyone even if they decide not to play the game. BCUG can be bought and staked on the gaming platform to earn passive income. The staked tokens are utilized for providing liquidity for transactions on Blockchain Cuties while users farm the rewards of their staking.

In addition, users are eligible for the governance of this gaming platform for staking BCUG tokens, as such, they can participate in governing the platform to vote for a new development of the gaming platform and so on.
