We learnt about the very exciting twist in their lives, with the pen making their lives to be Golden.

today's preview

Let's see what Golden's sisters and mother do to devastate her life.

(Golden turns in her bed, expecting to see her own beside her, but instead she sees an envelope, she pushes it aside and gets up to look for the pen)

Golden: Filia how dare you take that pen (she stops for a while,, not seeing them), Rose, mum where are you.
(She goes back and takes the envelope, frightened, she opens the letter and reads the content.)
Letter: DEAR GOLDEN, I KNOW YOU WILL BE ANGRY WHEN YOU READ THIS LETTER, BUT WE HAD TO TAKE YOUR GOLDEN PEN, AND WE RAN AWAY WITH IT, 🤓🤓😝, YOU SEE THAT IT WAS NOT AO GOOD TO BE STINGY WITH THE PEN. NO NEED TO LOOK FOR US DEAR. ENJOY YOURSELF WITH THE 4000 NAIRA ON THE TABLE.

YOUR MUM AND SISTERS

(Golden could not shed tears, she sat down like a stone, going Through the letter a thousand times, she couldn't believe that her only hope in life has been destroyed, she sang a poem of sorrow)

Golden:

WHY! WHY!! WHY!!!
DO I GO THIS WAY
FROM GRASS TO GRACE
FROM GRACE TO GRASS
SWISHING IN THE WIND
LOOKING FOR LUCK
TO BE CARRIED AWAY BY BAD EGGS
FINDING A PEARL AND MOVING TO GRACE
THEN A WIND BLOWS AND SHRIVELS ME
I GO BACK TO GRASS
WHY! WHY!! WHY!!
IS IT UNTIL I DIE
I SHALL WAIT FOR GRACE

(She gets up from the mat and goes to the table, she sees the sum of 5000 naira, she takes it and is able to invest in it for years, she is able to move into another apartment, and fake care of herself doing her petty trading)

(At the same time though Golden's best freind was also having some problems, she hardly ate in a day, so she moved in with Golden, she was staying in a self-contained room. One evening Golden comes back from her office work which she just got newly from freind of hers in primary school.)

Cici: Golden dear, were do you live and what do you do for a living?

Golden: I am just a mere trader selling provisions.

Cici: What??, Seriously!! Who gave you that kind of demeaning work to do, please of you will accept you can come and work in my office.

Golden: But I just reloaded my shop and news someone to manage it.

Cici: You are right, I thought you had a Bestie living with you and she talks to much, rather than keep the talking bird in your house why don't you send her to the cage so that she will then be able to keep quiet. (They both laugh)
(Since then, Golden works in the office while her best friend Loly walks in her supermarket, and manages it quite commendably)

( light fades)

On the next scene

We are going to see how Golden's sisters and mother are faring.
