The significance of clear and open communication within a family;

Communication can be seen as an act of passing a message from one called a sender to another called a receiver, through various channels such as radio, letters, telephone, and telegram.

Communication is very essential in life, without which nothing works. A good example is the story of the Tower of Barbel in the Bible where God confused their language when they wanted to build a tower to reach to God.

They were not able to understand themselves and were not able to actualize their mission. There was a communication gap.

Open communication fosters mutual trust and reliability. It means clarity and the receivers understand and believe the messenger.

If there is open communication, where every listener is present, no one will interpret the information wrongly for a different interest.

Also, open Communication brings growth, reduces the stress of repetition, and saves time since the receiver has a clear understanding of the message.

Open Communication encourages feedback. It's when a message is properly passed that a positive result is achieved. When information is properly passed,the needful will be done. Poor communication yields negative results.

Open Communication brings good relationships between individuals. There is no suspicion between individuals since communication is very clear, and parties understand themselves.

Engaging in conversation, attentively listening, and non-verbal communication enhance family connection.

A family comprises a man,wife, children, and other extended members who share the same bond.

There is this family that fell into serious crisis because the head of the family was suspected to be a witch, any dead recorded in the family, he was suspected to be responsible without proper confirmation.

The situations continue to a point where the family is growing backward. He was being suspected without being told,and everyone was on his own. And people began to mock them for their backwardness.

One faithful day, one of the most loved child in the family was sick and all efforts were not proving any fruitful result,and everyone kept suspecting him of being responsible.

The suspected member was not aware, until when one of the family members rose to speak boldly, and they were able to understand and resolve their differences.

It was later discovered that their forefathers had sworn an oath that every child born into the family must make a sacrifice of a fowl, which most were not informed of, and failure of this is the responsibility.

When the family came together and were properly informed, and the necessary sacrifice was made, the sick child was healed and further suspicion stopped.

The family cooperated and worked together and great progress was recorded in the family.

Also, there is a family who are progressing economically and otherwise because they always gather to discuss issues of concern and they normally make every discussion openly and respect each other's view regardless of age or status.

In a nutshell, open communication makes issues workable, and family progresses when communication is properly passed.
