Assalamualikum Friends

Greetings my beloved friends and HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023.Remembering the Creator we begin our new year with new hope. I am glad for this art related contest and always I wait for this type of contest and feel good to participate.I am very willing to participate in this competition. And this contest was organized by @eliany sister, so warm thanks to her for creating such a beautiful drawing contest. Today I am drawing the task given by her draw a catfish.

Necessary Materials:

Let's start the process:

Step 1,

• Today I am going to draw a catfish so, first I take my graphite pencil and then draw the cad fish body, mouth and fish tail shape primarily as shown below.

Step 2,

• Next I draw the fish's mustache brightly. At the same time I draw its fins and the inner part of the cheek.

Step 3,

• I then draw the eyes and the various parts around it, and also make the fish's skin brighter.

Step 4,

• Then I draw small line inside its fins and fill in parts of the face.

Step 5,

• At the end of the drawing I draw many dots on the catfish everywhere and finished my catfish drawing.

Describe A Catfish

Catfish is one of the most famous fish in the world and known for its outstanding cat-like mustache. It is also found in abundance in seas and rivers. A special feature of catfish is that it has very tough skin and does not have scales. There are some catfish groups that have dermal plates that act as armor to protect them from predators.

Where do the catfish live?

These catfish are abundant in freshwater and in areas near strong rivers. There are also some catfish that live in the sea. It does not usually live in very deep areas of rivers or oceans, but prefers areas with lots of vegetation to hide from predators.

Do I know the different types of catfish?

We see two types of catfish in Bangladesh, one of which is native which is small in size and another is foreign which is comparatively very large. There is another catfish that we keep in the aquarium and that is the helicopter fish. Although its armor is very hard, it is now being taken as food by us here.

Have I seen one before? If yes, where?

There are a big pond in front of our house and catfish are released here every year and we catch them with nets at the end of the year.Foreign breed catfish are released in the pond in front of our house which becomes 5 to 7 kg in one year. And in our Bangladesh, it is cultivated commercially, so we have the opportunity to see this fish constantly.

Are catfish important to man, what significant role do they play in humans life? Talk about their nutritional values and usefulness.

This catfish plays an important role in life in meeting food needs and also financially. People keep this catfish as food in their diet and many fish farmers are making financial profit from this fish and this fish plays an important role in meeting their needs.The nutritional value of this catfish is extensive. It contains meat, fat, calcium which is a common food for sick patient.

If catfish are dangerous to man tell us their dangerous part.

We experienced some damage after being externalized by this catfish and consumed as food. Externally we can be harmed by its pointed thorns. And researchers say this catfish is recommended not to eat during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Some part of the country eat it, so have I eaten it before, what's my favourite recipe is it dry , fresh or barbecued?

Yes, I almost eat this catfish. As it is available in our country, so I eat it.There are many recipes for cooking this fish. But my favorite is the Macher Vuna recipe which I almost always eat at home. It is slightly spicy, which is quite delicious in the mouth.
