Recreation review: I love playing the keyboard || by @emmaboy23

Greetings my fellow steemians. I wish you all happy easter and a happy Sunday. I am @emmaboy23 from Nigeria and I have come to participate in this contest which says recreative review


When we talk about recreational activities they are so many recreation activity one can do. Examples are writing, playing football, cooking, drawing, cooking etc. For my article today I will be describing and telling you the benefits of my recreational activity which is playing the keyboard/piano. The keyboard is a musical instruments made up of white and black keys. Each key in the keyboard are different and has their own different sound and pitch. Some have high key while some have the low key.

The keyboard has been a tool in which many people use to make music and enjoy themselves. Even though you are sitting down or standing playing the keyboard is simple if you know how to play and it is also a work out on its own, and offers various physical, mental and physiological advantages to all players of all age group. Constant and regular playing of the keyboard has helped me to sharpens my motor skills and improve my hand eye movement and coordination. Like I said earlier we get music through playing the keyboard and other instruments and as such people who play keyboard have been proven to have reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure, and be relaxed because music is good for the soul and body.

Whenever I play the keyboard there is this sensation of happiness that fills my body and I just love it. It makes me happy and it has also boost my intellectual ability and activates similar parts of the brain used for reasoning. It has also helped me develop focus, diligence, perseverance and creativity in me. One of the main reason I love this activity is because it can be learned as a skill and as a recreational activities in your leisure time. If you never had a chance to learn or play the keyboard or piano before it is never too late to learn, In Nigeria today you can see different people of different ages playing the keyboard both the children, teenagers, and adults and they do very well in it.

When I was little I would see people play the keyboard and I would wonder how do they play it with so many keys on the keyboard, I will wonder how they move their fingers so fast to even play the next key and it will sound good in the ears. This thought disturbed me a lot and so I decided to learn how to play the keyboard. It wasn't the thought of how they played it that made me to learn but the sweet melody and sound that came out of the keyboard that pushed me into learning it. And so I started learning, learning how to play the keyboard is not easy, first of all you must master all the keys and various steps to play a particular music before you play. But when I finally learnt how to play it I was so happy and it gave me this relaxing and happy sensation when ever I play. I have played in many places like in my church, at home, at school, And also at birthdays for entertainment and whenever I play they love it.
