The best way to discipline a child

My name is @emaeyakjames, I here to write on the best way to discipline a child.

I don't have my own child that I raised but I have siblings who are my younger ones.

Introduction
What is a child ?
In general sense a child can be said to be a person who has not yet reached adulthood.

In order word, a child be said to be someone's son or daughter despite the age.

Discipline can be said the act of correcting someone from mistake, it can also be self control or behavior.

Best way to discipline a child

Show and tell: care giver should show and teach their child/children right from wrong with calm words.

Flog where necessary: The holy Bible says spare the rod and the the child. This simple means that flogging the child is also part of discipline but not unnecessary flogging .

Explain consequences: show to the child the consequences of disobedience. Shown them some case studies even in the Bible what happened to disobedient child. Do all these with calmness, humility and love.

Set limit to them: explain to them that if they fail to follow this rule this what will be that out come. By setting limit, also tell them that breaking of such rule attract this discipline.

Listen to the erring child: in discipline, communication is very important, don't just jump into conclusion. Listen to the the child to tell his or her part of the story be disciplined.

Time out : placing time-out is very important in child discipline and it is also alternative to hitting the child always.

Losing privilege: this is not to punish the child but to help them make better choices for the future. Let them know that if they make poor choice that the results is lose of privilege. Example, you can make the child lose watching TV for a whole day as a result of misbehaving.

Ignoring mild behave: When your child tries to get attention by whining or complaining, don’t give it to them. Look the other way, pretend you can't hear them and don't respond. Then, when they ask nicely or behave, return your attention to them. Over time, they will learn that polite behavior is the best way to get their needs met.

Praise for Good Behavior: Prevent behavior problems by catching your child being good. For example, when they are playing nicely with their siblings, point it out. Say, “You are doing such a good job sharing and taking turns today.

Must you beat a child?
To inculcate discipline, it is not a must to beat a child but at some point they should be flogged with right hand and call back with left hand.

Mode of discipline by parents:
Show and tell them the wrong with calm words and actions.
Set limits.
Give consequences.
Hear them out.
Give them your attention.
Catch them being good.
Know when not to respond.
Be prepared for trouble.
