FUNNY, EXCITING AND ANNOYING MOMENTS

Greetings parents, kids and all Steemians, it is a pleasure to be a part of this contest for the very first time and i will be presenting a story of a funny incident that happened to my dad, my mom, my self and My two siblings.

My dad had a culture of traveling every weekend for a business trip and returning back on a Tuesday morning it was a normal routine that accustomed everyone in the family. To further portray why the whole story is very funny, It is also worthy to note that i come from a family where dad never allowed us to play with neighboring kids and never allowed mummy to worship with any other church except his own church. Mummy also had a policy of not letting Dad drink beer because he was a preacher. Things continued this way except for the weekends where dad would travel for a weekend trip, mom would sneak to a neighbouring church prayer program and we would also go out to play with neighboring kids.

One faithful day, the story was not the same. Dad took his bath as usual and announced his travelling, mom played calm as though she will be sleeping when Dad leaves and I plus my siblings took our baths and pretended sleepy. We all monitored each other carefully and counted our steps until Dad left. After Three hours of leaving, mummy joined our prophetess neighbor whom Dad had always warned her against and set out to church while I and my siblings locked the door and went out to play under the shinning moon light.

We came back very late expecting to open the door and sleep as usual only to discover people sitting in our yard. We whispered to each other pondering on who could sit down comfortably in our home at about 10:55 pm. I summoned my siblings to go and check but they insisted that we should all go and check. We moved closer only to meet Mom and Dad sitting patiently waiting for us. As confused as we were, we asked what happened only for dad to report to us that he caught mum going to the church he warned her not to go.

Mummy also presented her own part of the story as she caught Dad in a beer parlor drinking the beer he promised to drink. The funny thing was when we became the judge to them despite being victims on our own part. Dad narrated how his trip was cancelled so he had to take a test in bar and was caught by mom. We settled everything and handed the keys to them. Little did we know that settling their issue would give them the power to look into our own side of the story. We later became the victim when Mom and Dad gave us the discipline of our life in the crime we all committed.
