THE HIGHER AND LOWER ANIMALS.

I met this generous guy on Friday who sacrificed some grains of beans meant for dinner in the feeding of a pregnant nanny goat. We are always admonished to be kind to one another little did I know that I will witness an omnivore feeding an herbivore with his bare hands. Kudos to the omnivore.

This pregnant nanny goat together with two of its family members wasn't afraid to be fed by human not minding if anything funny might happen to them that would take their lives.

Well...they may have seen a lot and are not afraid of any circumstances that may play out. They appear very innocent. What a beautiful sight to behold...

Goats are one of the domestic farmyard animals that can make a commercial farmer go bankrupt overnight. So farmers are always conscious of their presence. They are never welcome by farmers to the farm if what has been cultivated can be consumed by this four footed creature.

Anyways..., goats are special and important animals with four stomach compartment (unlike humans with just one stomach) that feed on herbs and other edible household wastes. They have numerous economic values apart from the damaging of edible crops when they get out of their pens.

They generate farm yard manure form their wastes (dungs, urine and decayed remains) which adds nitrogenous nutrients to the soil which helps to increase drop yield.

The rearing of goat is not quite taskful, all one need to do is to get the forage, remove the left over forage of the previous day on a daily basis and weekly sweeping of the pen as the case may be. But some owners choose to practice open grazing allowing these animals to fend for themselves not minding if they cause nuisance in the community or not.

Many goats are been selective just like humans that may be allergic to certain foods. There are certain things they shouldn't be allowed to consumed or should consume in lesser concentration as it would affect their liveliness.

One of such items I've noticed so far is fresh cassava peels. This I think affect their digestive systems because their feaces get denatured from hard seed-like form to pasty form with an unusual weakness and less bleating as if they have gone dumb.

These creatures which are of different breeds are very costly in my place especially the home breed for reasons best known to owners and the government. They are needed by different categories of people for different purposes. Restaurants operators need them for meat, farmers need them for money and manure generation, celebrants need them for entertainment, for various traditional rites and so on.

Even though goats to not look terrifying with long horns like the cattle, some person are always scared of them.

I guess you know the gender that would have the greater percentage, if we are to determine which gender gets more scared in the environment of goat(s).
