Drugs are essential chemical substances that change the normal state of the human body. Drugs are abused by many users, commonly the youths of our society. Government brought into existence strategies to help cope with the use and drugs abuse. Some of the drugs that are commonly abuse are analgetic, marijuana, cocaine and sedatives.

The Government has a greater hand in the adminstration of drugs in the state. Some of the roles Government use in reducing drug abuse are:
✨ Enacting drug use and abuse agency like the NDLEA and NAFDAC
✨ Educating and Enacting action programmes to reduce the rate of drug abuse.
✨ Disseminating drug use and abuse information

Government disseminate information about drugs and drug misuse through the use of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA makes policy to control and reduce the illicit, transportation and production of hard drugs.

Government should work with the World Health Organisation in formulating drug policies and distribution of drugs that are positive to human health. Drug effects education should be passed to everyone through the use of mass media, stating clearly the negative effects of abusing drugs

So many drug abusers are ignorant of the negatives effects of hard drugs. Information about the effects should be made known to everyone, especially the youths through lively programmes, maybe in school, church and even during events.

Knowing the origin of how we got addicted to abusing drugs is the best way of curtailing ourselves from abusing it.. some abuse drugs because thier family do so..it's very simple to make it up not to follow thier path in abusing drugs, Also some of the drug users got into abusing drugs through the friends..it's very possible to leave such a friend inorder to help bring yourself out from such bondage.

"Show me your friend and I will tell you your future" this is one of the best wise saying.. the kind of people we mingle ourselves with, talks much about us. some are pressurised by friends to indulge in hard drugs.

Loneliness is also a strong factor that leads to drugs abuse.when one stay lonely and idle negative thoughts do run through the mind..so it's advisable not to stay idle.. indulge yourself in a long lasting activities such as: exercising, writing and talking to someone.

Peer pressure is a major effect why youths indulge in drugs abuse, that's being and feeling among. Peers advice another negatively about drugs, telling them the benefits they derived from taking such.mostly which is about getting high. An ignorant youth can fall a victim to the negative advice from the friend. It's advisable to have positive peers❤️

We should try to work hand in hand with the Government to curb the abuse of drugs, By also serving as a means of disseminating information about drugs and drugs abuse.
