The education system in Pakistan is overseen by the Federal Ministry of Education government, Civil government mostly assists in class development, and the financing of research.Constitution of Pakistan obligates the state to give free and mandatory quality education to children of the age group 5 to 16 times.

There are three broad types of education systems in Pakistan, namely, the public or government school system, the private school system, and the madrassa system. The madrassa system is fairly much lower compared to the private and public sector and has a separate class, governance, and operation structure. Some private schools offer the Cambridge education system in conjunction with the national curriculum.

The education system in Pakistan follows (12 Y) system of school education with four levels:
pre school (3 to 5 years), primary (1 to 5 years), middle (6 to 8 years), high (9 to 10 Years leading to the Secondary School Certificate or SSC) intermediate (11 to 12 Years leading to a Higher Secondary School Certificate or HSSC), and university programs leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Higher Education establish in (2002) is responsible for all university and degree awarding institutes.

Ensuring that all children, especially girls, go to school, remain enrolled and acquire learning is a major difficulty for Pakistan. An estimated 23.4 Million children progress in Academy 44% of the total population in this age of groups. Difference grounded on gender profitable status, and terrain are significant in Sindhi, 52 percent of the poorest children( 58 % girls) are out of academy and in Balochistan, 78% of girls are out of academy. Pakistan still has a low knowledge rate Compared to other countries. As of 2016 Pakistan’s knowledge rates range from 82 in Islamabad.

UNICEF supports the Government of Pakistan’s efforts to significantly reduce the number of out-of-school children at pre-primary, primary and lower secondary levels. The education programme is focusing on Early Childhood Education to improve school readiness expansion of equitable and quality Alternative Learning Pathways at basic education levels, and nurturing of community Connect to increase enrolment, reduce drop outs, and ensure completion and transition for all students. At systems levels, UNICEF is contributing to more equity-focused provincial sector planning and budgeting, strengthening data and assessment systems, and evidence-based policy advocacy.
