What do you understand to be freedom as a parents or kid?
Freedom to decide, accept or reject is the three main pillars I can identify as a parent. The perspective should always be from the side of our kids. But we also need to have a closer eye on our kids as they have very small experience in life. They way a kid behaves is largely dependent on how he or she is able express themselves. To express yourself, you need to be confident about yourself. So, building self confidence is always correlated with how the kid is given freedom to decide, accept or reject.
What can make you to grant more freedom to your kids or what can you do to earn more freedom?
Giving more freedom sometimes parent may feel that is not good for kids. This is the most insecure thing that most of us if not all parents are afraid of. As parents we believe kids are always dependent on us. But by looking at how our kids learn to walk is one prime example of how important is giving freedom for them. Also, we expect our kids to earn more freedom by becoming responsible for their actions. Therefore, this should be a two-way stream.
Advantages and disadvantages of freedom both to parents and kids
First thing that comes to my mind is that we can build a strong relationship with our kids. Because they feel that they are backed by us to act responsibly. And they feel they have valuable representation among all family members. Also, this brings a lot more space them to develop skills and social relationships, which ultimately helps them to become a better adult. Also there might be some downfalls. Like if they are given more freedom without proper guidance, they may become culprits of bad habits like drugs and gambling etc. I have seen this in my college time. So, we ned to be aware of whereabouts of our kids though we give them freedom to spread their wings.
What can cause one to lose the freedom he or she has?
Obviously, as I mentioned earlier, becoming culprits of illegal habits, or being cornered for illegal things by others may causes one to lose the freedom she or he had. But in our level, it is common that being grounded without mobiles, TV, or electronic equipment are common thing that happens when one can lose the freedom. This is due to largely, of irresponsible acts they made. For an example having freedom to go outside means you cannot go anywhere you wanted. You must let parents let know what is going on and you should accept that they are deserved to know it.
Why is freedom necessary?
Freedom means the ability to make decisions by yourself without seeking permissions every time. Freedom is the state that you are allowed to act on your own. Freedom is the feeling that you are a part of the society. Freedom is the feeling that you are accepted. So, quite amazingly freedom defines you. Losing freedom means losing yourself, losing the person you really are. Becoming a different actor. So isn’t freedom necessary. Look what people have done to gain freedom around the world. As parents we should know that humans are seeking for freedom always. So do our kids. Let them spread wings but keep a eye they may need a safe place to fall.

You have written a great post! I agree with your point of view. There were many things to take into mind. And yeah, having a strong bond with our kids may increase their confidence while giving them a sense of responsibility. Yet, giving too much freedom will make parents regret if the child is not guided in a proper path. So I think parents should be watchful as same as they give the freedom.
