Good day great members on this community, am happy to take part in this great contest.
This is a very interesting contest and I thank @ngoenyi for giving us the opportunity to remember our childhood days.
Today I was lying in bed, looking at my wardrobe where I use to pack my books, I have such a collection; chemistry books, anatomy and physiology books, statistics, the list goes on an on. I crawled to the end of the bed and started pulling them off and flipping through them, I noticed a Bible study book I flashed back and remember many stories I was told from that book when I was tender.
STORIES
Job's temptation
This was how Satan tempted job, I remember this story because my mother do tell us this story every minute of the day.
Lessons
We really need to have faith and put our trust in God.
How I learn the story
My mother and my grandfather told me this story when I was 9
The lion and the mouse
The ungrateful mouse.
Lessons
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
How I learn the story
My aunty told me this story when I went for holidays that was when I was 6
The story of a mother and her son
A woman was not contented with the little she had which lead her to death
Lessons
We should always be contented
How I learn the story
My grandma told me this story when i told my mother the food she dish for me was small, this was when I was 9.
Story of Elisha in the Bible
How Elisha was being laughed by children because of his bald hair. He then command lion to eat them up.
Lessons
We should always be mindful of what we say, and shouldn't remind people of their problems.
How I learn the story
My grandfather told me this story when I laughed at a man with a croocked leg that was I was 11 yrs old I can still remember.
Story of Judas Iscariot in the Bible
This was how a follower betrayed his master.
Lessons
We should never trust our fellow beings
How I learn the story
My mother told me this story because each time they give me food I will carry it to my friend and that my friend her parents and my own parents are not in good terms so she said they might posion my food I should walk away from that friendship that was when I was 10.
