Week 7- A child, a million smiles 😁: How can you make a child smile 😁? Help them!

What need did you notice that the kids around you have?

Help a child no matter how small; your effort may be small, but it will make a great and significant impact in their lives when it comes to helping a child in need.

The economy has badly affected lots of people, and many families struggle to put food on their tables; some parents cannot afford to pay for their kid's school fees; in fact, there is a long list of challenges going on in some families, and all this affects the kids too. No kid deserves to go through all these struggles for survival.

The other day on my way home, A woman asked me for a sachet of water for her kids to drink; I was shocked and, at the same time, felt pity for her for not being able to afford a thing as cheap as water to drink for herself and her kids. I know how heartbroken it must have been for this mother not to be able to provide for her kids which must have resulted in her asking for help.

How did you provide that need? It could be service or financial help

I provided their needs with a little financial help by buying them a bag of sachet water, which has about 20 pieces of sachet water in it, because I knew one would not be enough for the three of them. I got more of the water to help sustain the kids so they can have extra for when next they tasty.

How does the child feel about that need?

They drank the water, feeling refreshed, and smiled. With how hot the weather is this day, every child needs water to remain hydrated and boost their energy level. The kids, knowing they had more water to drink, also gave them Joy. I was also happy that I could help. I watch them go with their mother and the remaining water happily.

Little acts of kindness we do for people give them hope and happiness and When this act of kindness is done to helpless and innocent kids it's more fulfilling

Just gift a child of something he or she really needs and tell us how the child feels about it

I love gifting kids because it's not all about material things you give to them but the Joy, happiness and excitement seen on the child's face. It also creates a connection between the adult and the child, giving the child the feeling of being cared for.

My kids have wanted to learn how to play musical instruments. I told them I love the idea too but have not had the opportunity for them to go learn it. Whenever they see where musical instruments are played, they remind me of it. So, I allowed them to start learning how to play musical instruments, and they were so happy about it.

However, This is to get them equipped aside from their academics, which is absolutely necessary and a great benefit. I am an Advocate of children's learning skills as it is beneficial for future success. The child also has the right to choose the skill he or she has a passion for. Do not force them into your own choice of skill. You only educate them on various options when they do not have any skill they have passion for.

The approach for skill learning helps a child to adjust to any situation in future. It's good they learn these skills at an early stage of life to get them prepared. Most of these skills are related to what they are taught in the class, so it gives them a better understanding as they practicalize it.
