What I have learned in your post today is the bitter truth because of we actually lead our lives in the right way and work extra hard, we will live to fill fill our dreams because karma will definitely take care of himself.
Indeed if we work hard in achieving something and at the end we don't achieve it, that doesn't means is the end of the world for us because maybe that wasn't our destiny as God shall definitely offer us better plans. I'm glad that though you didn't achieved your childhood dreams, you parents and together with your wife help you through out and you are now a better person today.
