Capturing Moments Wk5: Application 2 - Insect Photography
Edited using canva
It's another week to capture moments of nature and natural things that makes our environment economical and beautiful. Last week, we focused on sunset photography though we had no entry. This week, we will still go natural by exploring moments in insects which are small living creatures found below the earth.

Insect photography is sometimes compared to wildlife photography as it's not always easy to capture an insect being static. There are always in motion and cautious of their environments against predators attack. That's why it's sometimes challenging to capture an Insect with so much focus but we can always try the impossible.
Insect photography is all about positioning your camera in a focused state to capture insects from a far distance or in a mindful range that's close. Let's take the butterflies as example. We barely see the butterflies in a static position. They are always perching in seconds and then moving to places farfetched from you.
How can this be overcome? I'll teach you.
Step 1: When you see an insect perch on a leaf, on a surface or on the ground, don't rush into capturing it immediately. First observe the insect and then open your camera. From the distance you are, try zooming to capture the insect.
Step 2: After zooming out and you find it hard to get clarity, go closer to the Insect. You can do this by first taking a step. After taking a step, zoom out and capture it again.
Step 3: Take another step closer and keep capturing until you've gotten very close to the insect. You can choose to adjust your zoom length or betterstill, use normal setting without zooming out.
With these steps, you can capture your insect without it knowing. Zooming helps a lot as some insects may not be one you should go close to. Let's see these pictures.
