Hello steemian in this noble community. I welcome you to my blog. In this week share your food diary, I will be sharing on the preparation of Editan Soup. One of my local dish and a good meal that boost up fertility.
Ingredients
Editan leaf
Water leaf
Cowskin
Beef
Periwinkle
Crayfish
Fish
Oil
Onions, salt, seasoning cubes and pepper
Method of preparation
First step is to slice the leaf and this process will take a little time because the slicing has to be in two phase. Also it require a sharp knife for it to be fast. Above pictures shows the first part of the slicing and the second part.
Wash the beef, cowskin, periwinkle, fish inside a pot and season them using onions, pepper, salt, seasoning cubes and boil. When it boil and the beef is soft and tender, add a little oil on the pot.
As the pot is on fire, wash the water leaf thoroughly to remove sand and other unwanted material since this time is a rainy time. Slice it and keep aside.
Boil hot water and pour in a bowl. Add the slice Editan leaf with a pitch of salt and keep.
In the pot containing the stock, add the slice water leaf, add crayfish and allow the pot open for 20minute.
Using a filter, turn in the Editan leaf, use cool water and begin to wash it. The washing will take off the bitter taste but if you need it to taste bitter small, have a taste of it as you're washing so as to have your desirable taste.
Editan Soup is ready to be consume with any choice swallow. It can also be used to eat white rice or boil yam.
