Introduction

Greetings
Dear members of Steem kids, it's nice to be posting here again, today on my article I'll be talking about the various forms of energy and their uses/benefits to mankind. Let's dive into the world of science shall we.

What Is Energy

Energy is any substance that have the ability to do work and creates protons and electrons in it. It serves as the fuel for any process involves completion of work easily. Energy exists in many forms and which forma serves different purpose to different scenarios. Below are the known forms of energy.

Law Of Conversation Of Energy

The law of conservation of energy states that energy neither be created nor destroyed but can be converted from one form to another. What this law is trying to tell us is the fact that energy is already a pre-existing phenomenon and it cannot be created but by converting it to another form. An example is the turbines in a dam, the flow of the currents makes propellers to turn which result to mechanical energy, then the mechanical energy generates electrons and protons which converts the mechanical into electrical energy.

Forms Of Energy

Energy comes in different forms and which forms serves different purposes for a reaction. Here are the forms of energy

  • Mechanical Energy

Mechanical energy is a form of energy that it produced from movements of an object. It's formula is the sum of potential and kinetic energy. An Examples of mechanical energy is when an object both has kinetic and potential energy, a moving car is an example of mechanical energy because it involves the movements of it's mechanical parts to move from place to place.

  • Chemical Energy

Chemical Energy occurs from chemical reactions between molecules and atoms. This types of energy uses Chemical substance to create electrons and protons which result to energy. Chemical Energy has two types which are chemiluminescence and Electrochemical Energy. An example of this energy is a battery cell.

  • Potential Energy

Potential energy is the energy of an object's position. It's a type of energy that illustrates a stagnant position which energy is released from. An example is a ball thrown into the air, at the maximum height, the potential energy is high and as the ball falls the potential energy reduces until it reaches the ground and exhibit high energy again.

  • Kinetic Energy

This is the energy that involves the motion of a body. It reads from 0 to other positive value. This energy is exhibited on anything that is moving, it has a kinetic energy in It and as the object slows down and comes to rest, the exhibit potential energy. An example of this type of energy is the swinging of a pendulum, no matter the way it swings the kinetic energy remains positive.

  • Gravitational Energy

Gravitational energy involves the attraction of two objects based on their mass. This type of energy serves as a basis for potential energy and mechanical energy. For example, the moon exhibits a Kinetic Energy which orbits round the Earth's gravitational force. Another example is the gravitational energy that holds the atmosphere in the Earth. The scientist that founded gravitational energy is Sir Isaac Newton

  • Electrical Energy

Electrical energy is made by using mechanical tools which it's movements tend to generate electrons and later on, converted into electrical energy. This is the most used form of energy in our world today as it's both efficient and radiation free to the environment. An example of this Electrical Energy is our home appliances which converts electrical energy into other forms of energy e.g Light, Sound etc. The scientist that founded electrical energy is Benjamin Franklin.

  • Nuclear energy

This type of energy is extremely dangerous and it forms by the changes in the atomic nuclei from nuclear reactions. Humans have cultivated this form of energy by burning fossil fuel and then generating nuclear energy. An example of this energy are nuclear decay, nuclear fission and nuclear fusion. An atomic detonation is also an example of this energy.

  • Solar/light Energy

This type of energy Is mostly gotten from the sun, the atomic activity in the sun's core resulted into High temperature of nuclear fusion which generates heat and light energy. On earth we make use of the sun's energy by creating solar panels which converts solar/light energy into electrical energy.

Conclusion

With everything said above, energy is what makes us to he civilized and makes the life of every Human beings less stressful and does work easily. Without energy I can't imagine how the world will look like today. Thanks for reading...
