COMPASSION
Compassion is the ability to show acts of tender affections or feelings towards someone. Being compassionate shows an individual of your caring attitude to them.
Generally anybody can cultivate compassion and also of be compassionate to people. This is true because a compassionate person is always loved by all, people fell secured and at ease when around him or her.
Myself showing care
Personally, I have been compassionate to various persons in various situation, at a time when I was in school, my class had a new student in its midst and as all new students, their first day tends to make them shy and feel lonely, at first he had no place to sit and I had a spacious seat, instead of selfishly keeping it all to myself, I invited him over to sit with me. He facial expressions showed his appreciation, and we became real friends down till this day.
I not only have shown compassion, but also have been extended this kind gesture of compassion too. At a point when I was much younger and couldn’t make some certain things for myself, I often felt hungry, and I always had to wait till dinner, I summed up courage to ask my mum politely to make me something to eat, instead of scolding me and telling me to wait till dinner she looked for a means of solving my hunger by preparing me food, she did that because she’s a my Mum and Mumy's always help.
Compassion is a real virtue all should try to cultivate, we live in a time where certain individuals tend to be selfish and take no pleasure in helping others. If the attitude of people can change, this would be a great contribution to the development of the society at large. Showing acts of compassion would promote peace among people. For instance if people showed compassion more towards one another incidence of Racism, Gender inequality, Ethnic tribalism, would not exist, because as they show tender feelings to one another they would look past their differences and learn to co-operate with each other.
I learned compassion from my parents, seeing them show acts of compassion even towards strangers shaped my thinking from childhood and so helped me demonstrate compassion to others I don’t even know too.
If every one could show compassion to one another, there isn’t a doubt that the world wouldn’t be a better place to live in, because everyone who is compassionate will make progress in all aspects in his or her daily life. If continuous encouragement is given to people to remind them of showing compassion, it would make an impact on them positively and contribute to the peace of the world today.
I want to invite my friends to this contest and to also share their ideas on this, they include @greyc @jefxto @jefrandon.
