Hello dear diary,🤗

If fitness was a home, I'll dwell in there like my humble abode. Despite the pains I feel at times during the process, embracing the mantra 'no pain no gain' makes me develop an unwavering passion for fitness and sports. Today was another day to stayfit and keep fit, and I'm excited to share the highlights of my intense workout session and thrilling football match in my diary.


This morning, I woke up at 6am feeling energized and refreshed. Unlike other days when I'd take a taxi to the workout session, today's surge of energy compelled me to jog from home to the training ground. The crisp morning air and pounding beats from my music player, cranked up to maximum volume, driven me forward.

As I ran, the energetic melody infused me with motivation, drowning out any potential fatigue. The music's catchy rhythm kickstarted my day with a burst of inspiration, setting the tone for a productive and energized morning. As I arrived at the entrance gate, I was joined by two teammates, and together we jogged into the training ground, fostering a sense of team spirit that would fuel our morning training session.


Today's workout targeted our core strength, with a triple threat approach to attack our abs. Our focused exercise routine consisted of, Raised Leg Crunch, which helps in isolating the upper abs, boat Crunch, it engages the entire core and emphasizing obliques and scissors, which targeted the lower abs and improving overall core stability.

We started with scissors, as one of the programmes for abs attack. We accomplished this exercise by sitting on the floor, leaning back slightly, and then crossing our legs over each other in mid-air, while maintaining balance with our hands firmly planted on the ground. We completed 8 intense rounds of the exercise synchronized with the Tabata song timer.


We followed the rhythmic cues, pausing briefly when the countdown reached '3, 2, 1, stop' and relaunching into action as the music resumed. My legs were shivering during the exercise, my lower region were burning as I felt some pains down there. Someone might just stare from afar and say 'what are these people doing?', not knowing that I almost saw death😀.

With tiredness written all over our faces, our coach gave us a welcome 2-minute break. Seizing the opportunity, I stretched my fatigued abdominal muscles, relieving the tension. I also snapped a selfie with my teammates, looking so worn and tired. Before a blink of an eye, the 2 minutes given had already elapse, so we had to proceed to another abs attack programme.

The next challenging abs attack programme was the boat crunch. This was achieved by sitting on the ground with our back straight, tilt back slightly engaging our core, and we held a N-shape position with hands and legs suspended in mid-air. Honestly, the Boat Crunch was the most grueling program we tackled today. It pushed our endurance to the limit. I thought to myself, 'If I can conquer this, I'll earn my six-pack abs, otherwise, a pot belly is inevitable'.


After we struggled to complete the programme, we went for another short break before starting the Raised Leg Crunch. This programme wasn't that difficult for me, I don't know for others. This was achieved by sitting on the ground, then raise our legs to our jaw level, still following the tabata song timer.

With the intense Abs Attack program successfully completed, we did some stretch exercises and shifted gears and transitioned to a thrilling football game, ready to unleash our energy and teamwork on the pitch.

The football game kicked off with a lively team selection process. Fourteen players were evenly divided into two teams, Team Yellow and Team Blue. As the teams took shape, Team Yellow good-naturedly expressed envy over Team Blue's impressive lineup. Reminded that the goal was fun and fitness, not fierce competition, the two teams shook off any lingering doubts and got underway as the whistle blew.

I was thrilled to be selected for Team Blue, donning the iconic jersey number 9. As a natural goal-scorer, I felt an affinity for this number, synonymous with legendary strikers like Didier Drogba of Chelsea. Wearing number 9 wasn't just a coincidence, it represented my passion for finding the back of the net and driving my team to victory.


Today's match didn't unfold as anticipated. Despite our Team Blue's strong dominance and numerous scoring opportunities, lady luck failed to smile upon us. The game ended draw, with a 0 - 0 scoreline. Remember it wasn't a competition, it was just a game for fun and with the aim of keeping fit, so the outcome didn't spark frustration.

My throat were dried, so I quenched my thirst with two sachet water when I heard the final whistle. The referee who officiated today's football game was @bossj23, he's not a professional referee, but he tried his best. Kudos to him👍🏽. Today's abs attack and football game was a success. I stripped off the blue jersey, put on my workout outfit and went home to get some rest. That was all for today's fitness programme. We'll keep fit again on Friday, stay tuned🤩.
