Children are the greatest dreamers in the world, I can say this proudly because I experienced this. My dreams as a child were endless and sometimes not realistic,

We had this kind of dreams because we were limited in our naïve minds, all we watched in the movies seemed real to us as we believed everything we saw or were told.

I grew up in a home of two exceptional parents who taught me a lot of values for the period they lived. I learnt hard work discipline, respect, and a whole lot from my parents which were my driving force from childhood.
Sincerely my dreams changed throughout my life as I grew I realized the necessary, the achievable and a whole lot more.

What were the dreams you had in childhood for the future.

As a child I had a lot of dreams for the future,
I wanted to be a pilot or an aeronautic engineer,

I also wanted to be a preacher. I remember days when I raised out table vertically and held an imaginary Mic behind it and preached passionately to an imaginary crowd and prayed for them as a child.
I had a dream of also getting married at 23-25 years, and also getting married to the most beautiful woman on earth.
I had a dream of changing the world for good.
I had many dreams as a child some came through but some didn’t.

Who supported you in that dreams.

my parents, they gave me the best education they could afford as well as taught me morals that kept me growing into the man I want to be from childhood. Sadly I lost my parents as a teen, at 13 I had none again by my side, but my elder brother and sister were matured enough to play the role of parents in my life as a teen. They paid my fees and saw me through high school and college. I also had a few friends, mentors and relatives who really contributed in a way to help me grow into who I am today.

Which one of those dreams have you achieved.

Growing up we realize some of our dreams were just fantasies but some were very valid.
My dream of being a pilot or aeronautic engineer didn’t come through. As I grew through high school, I decided I was going to study either aeronautic engineering or Computer science. Seeing my family cannot afford the cost of studying aeronautic engineering I studied computer science and I am glad I did, it is a dream come through for me.
I also achieved my dream of being a Christian teacher/preacher, God helped me achieve it. I have been able to impart a few young people who have been around me.

Which one did you not achieve, What do you think went wrong?

I couldn’t achieve some of my dreams as at when I wanted to achieve them but they are still possible, while some were just childhood fantasies.

I couldn’t achieve the dreams of being an aeronautic engineer. This was because no college in my country or even a neighboring country had this course, and the cost of travelling to Europe, Asia and America for studies cannot be funded by my family at that time.

Getting married at 23-25years was also not possible because I am over 25years and am not married. this was because we planned our life as though we had control of every factor as children, we didn’t see a lot of unforeseen events that always come into life’s plan. Though it didn’t happen at 23-25years its still going to be a dream come through.

And lastly for the dreams of changing the world, as I grew up I realized all e need t do is to brighten the corner near you and by doing that successfully you can eventually change the world. Many people who still kept the idea of changing the whole world by themselves have been left depressed because their imaginations blind them from the small feats they achieve around them.

As I look back at life I realize how great it has truly been.
