HOW TO BE A FAMILY CHAMPION
If election is conducted in your family today, will you be announced as the winner?or the looser?.
I am from a family of eight, three boys and five girls. If election were to be conducted between my late dad and my late mom, it would had been a landslide victory for my mom.
My reasons for that prediction is that , my late dad gave much attention to his building contractor job to the dentriment of his family.
He spank's us at our slightest wrong doings, enforcing punishment on us whenever a complain is brought against us, expecially on me without hearing our own side of the story.
His job sometime keeps him away for 90days, creating a large communication gap .,he don't allowing us to associate with other people when he is around etc. All these created a fear in us, as we fear him like a masquerade .we were Not able to approach him even when we are in need,hence my introvert nature.
I got married in 2017, and God has blessed the union with two children, Isaac and Joanna. In quest to provide for the family, I was almost becoming a replica of my late dad.
One fateful day, I sat down and asked myself these questions based on complain my lovely wife brought against me. If election is conducted between my wife and I today, will I win or loose?, is my wife and children happier when I am around or whenever I am away?, am i too harsh?, Is my actions going to affect my children's social life negatively?. am i giving them the needed attention?.
within a twinkle of an eye, the answer to these questions stroke my heart,"YOU WILL LOOSE".
Sometime, we place the cat before the horse. thereby destroying what we think we are labouring for. Most families had been destroyed beacuse of daily hustle .
I started lobbying my lovely wife and children by showing them love, care, bath the children and prepare them for school, cook and eat with them, correct them,stop random punishment, give them attention,call them often while I am away and speak to them Individually .
My wife attested to the fact that I am now a change husband and a father. I am very sure that if there is an election today, I will win because even my wife will cast her vote for me. Do the same and become the champion of your family.
