How to Search for Ideas for Your Contents.

Most times, I hear people complain about how the contents aren't anywhere.

You hear, "I've been on Instagram all day. Nothing popped in my head!"

Really?!

Contents are everywhere. In your room. On your phone. Outside your house. On the streets. At your workplace.
Everywhere.

The major problem I see people have is identifying those ideas and putting them to use. Someone asked me, "Does it mean I have to be carrying paper and pen everywhere I go?"

YES. If you can 😂

When I started content writing, I saw a post on google that advised I do that; carrying a pen and book everywhere I go. I felt it to be silly. What if I'm going to swim or I'm on the bike?

But now, I understood what that meant. There's a reason why the mobile phone was created. Not just to communicate with others. Also to yourself.

Below are ways I get ideas for my content.

💥 Conversations: I'm not the type that goes online and is searching for content to put online from google, except I'm going through writer's block. I take ideas from conversations I either have with someone or overhead. People say what really troubles them, and as a writer, you need to satisfy their hunger. Clear their doubts. Make them feel good and give them the hope they need to see.

💥 Regular Posts: LinkedIn and Quora are considered the best options for me. Writers post everyday. We are in the age where if you don't put yourself out there, no one will know what you do. People tend to post what troubles them, what they've experienced, and what they've seen or heard. Use it to your advantage.

💥 Join a community: They still apply the same strategy I explained before. There are different communities you see online on different social media platforms. Don't be shy or think they are not worth your standard. There is always a sense of the nonsense.

💥 Conduct informal interviews: Do a Q$A session. Ask friends. Ask a random person online. Your mentors and mentees.

These are steps I take and they work out fine for me. Not only that it provides ideas, but it also helps to know the right and next thing to put out there.

If I'm on a bus or walking down the street, I'm with my phone. I do a recording of the idea and how I want it to be or I use my Notes app.

Sometimes, at the back of any book, I have in hand. Ideas aren't hard to get. You just have to look carefully and when they come, write them down on the spot.

Have what you want at the back of your mind while researching, and see how ideas pop in.
