Contest Entry: What i have achieved on steemit

Hello beautiful people, it's been long I posted on the community I know😅 but I'm here now and I want to take part in the contest, "what I have achieved on steemit", and I will be working based on the criteria given by @steemingcuration. Lets get to it, shall we🙂

How I got to know steemit
I wont lie, I was very eager to find a way to earn a side income at home because I was always hearing this thing that one could make money while lying down at home. From the way I was brought up, this sounded like pure rubbish in my ears😂 but I was willing to explore and find out. So I got into cryptocurrency but never actually got anything from it. I was always deceiving myself that I could be consistent and mine my way to success🤣. As time went on I began to realise that I was just wasting my time then one faithful day on WhatsApp, my friend, @uchescrib, who was also into this crypto stuff posted on his status that people should invest in steem. I saw this and asked him how I could mine it. He said that it wasn't a mining platform and then explained it to me in an overview, helped me sign up. This wasnt quite where my adventure in steemit began though 😅. I was very dormant for the first 2½ months that I was on the platform but he (@uchescrib) asked me about my progress and it was nothing to write home about. He then gave me insults of encouragement to make me buckle up and I did.

What I have achieved on this platform
Lots I would say. Steemit has had positive impacts on me both emotionally and mentally. By emotionally, I mean it gives me this joy within just by me knowing that there's a place I can write out my thoughts or views of what I like and I can get rewarded for it and also that I can finally say that I own a good amount crypto that I can use to trade and all. By mentally, i mean that steemit has made me realize that what people were saying was true. I have now achieved an open-minded thinking to things and because of what steemit has done for me, I'm always ready to explore other things or areas in life.

Socializing on Steemit
Socializing on Steemit has been a very good experience for me. I have been able to meet new people (more Nigerians) who are on the platform and I've been able to see their view about some things and how they tend to handle other things. Communities I've learnt this a lot from is the #campusconnect community, #steeming community and #lifestyle community. I've really learnt a lot from these communities. In fact I've learnt a lot socializing on Steemit and I'm very happy with my progress on the platform but I do have one question though, Why doesn't steemit have a chatting interface on the platform?🤔.

What I like most about steemit
To be very honest, it's the earning part of steemit thatbi like most. I like the fact that posts are being payed out in form of cryptocurrency and it doesn't fall down to only one cryptocurrency as authors are rewarded with steem, tron and steem backed dollars. This helps the authors diversify their assets and gives them options. So yeah, this is my favourite aspect of steemit.

My advice for those new to steemit
There's only one major word I can use to advice you if you want to be successful on Steemit and that is CONSISTENCY. Lots of people have signed up on Steemit and have been very dormant. I too was one of them but I later changed and now The God I serve has blessed the work of my hands and I have been very pleased with what I have made with steemit. Some my advice is just this, be consistent and never ever plagiarise and you will be happy with yourself at the end of the day.
