Steeming Community Contest |Throwback:"Memories of Your Sweet 16"/Forever Young @morikin

It's a cake full of memories of the year 1980 of May 14. They say "Old enough to know better, but still young enough to get away with it." I was sweet 16 then and the memories still lives on.
This charcoal portrait of me was made by an admirer of mine during those time and until today this frame hangs in our bedroom. I was sweet 16 in high school and he (Jun E.) is a first year Fine Art students at USC Talamban and we happen to live on the same subdivision. It is no news that at sweet 16 birthday is a day of friends, fun, laughter and crushes. It is one of the most unforgettable celebration because I received this portrait of me wrapped in a beautiful wrapper. Flattered but confused, and I keep smiling asking myself, "Am I really that beautiful?"

These are my best of friends then and we knew each others secrets.
So it only makes sense during the 80' that you let your friends know by sharing your secrets, that you got an admirer and promised not to tell and just be proud of it.

These are the officers of our class 401 and I am the PRO or Press Relation Officer of the class and this bahay kubo is our rendezvous after class. This is located near the canteen where if you have money you can easily buy anything, but if your money is just enough you just wait for the bell to ring and recess is over, then back to class.

This is our Speech class teacher Mr.Tabasa and this picture was taken after we were elected officers for the said class. He is a good teacher ,but my favorite teacher is my English teacher Mrs Javelosa. I love the way she teaches Literature to us. Until today I still have the books in English even if they are old and tattered I still find time to read it.

It's my Sweet sixteen memories and the only year that can't be forgotten.
