“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.” – Winston Churchill
I was so delighted upon reading the quote and came to realize that I need to be optimistic. I need to look at the brighter side if why such things happened. Yes, it has a purpose and I should put in my mind that every challenge that I encountered has an opportunity that comes ahead.

Buenas Noches my awesome and great steeming team!

How have you've been everyone? I am sure you feel so great since you finally found the platform wherein you can write all the feelings you wanted to say, you had finally met a chanel that helped you forgot all the struggles, heartaches and problems that came to your way.

Today, sir @juichi from the Steeming Community Team initiated a contest entitled "My Name is Who?". And I was so glad that he was able to came up with this topic and at the same time I am excited to share it with you the reason behind why I chose @kyrie1234 as my codename here in this awesome platform.

Without further ado, SUGDAN NA NATO! Let the ball rolling.

The Story Behind My Name

I will start my story with a boy named "Ricky", he is my brother and a steemian as well, his codename was @cykir11.

If you are going to read his introduction,

you can say that he is a black sheep of the family because of the wrong decisions he has made and he even stopped from studying because of the thing he was addicted to. After a couple of years, he was able to realized that what he did was wrong and tried to ask an apology to my parents. That was the best gesture he made, we may fail and commit wrong decisions sometimes but it's not a reason for us to stop life. I am so amazed of what he did and the courage he has for asking an apology and of course my mother gave him a second chance. And now, eventhough he wasn't able to graduate he landed with a great job leaded with awesome and positive people. He was working as an ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER in one of the big companies here in our place. And below were some of his output:

Then, after a couple of months he was blessed by a cute little girl and he named her "AKIRA KYRIE". Actually, my brother was the best basketball player in our place and his idol was Kyrie Erbing where he took the second name of his first born. AKIRA KYRIE was my first niece and she was like an angel came from above. And we were so glad that we finally met her. And that's where I took my codename, from my first niece' second name KYRIE and I just added 1234 because as they said it is stronger if you are going to use an alphanumeric codename.

How was my experience while deciding on it?

Without second thought, upon knowing this platform and registering it, my first and last choice was @kyrie1234 because she was an angel came from the black sheep who turned into a white sheep. And our baby kyrie was also the reason why my brother became who he was right now and tried to become the best father. And she was also the reason why he totally forgot the addicted vice he had before. And thanks to baby kyrie for making our prayer came true, for making his father to become better everyday.

To whom I dedicate my name?

I dedicated the name I've chosen to my first niece, for me to show how grateful I am for coming her into our lives especially to the life of my brother. Because of this young creature, the life of my brother changed into better. He became a responsible boy and a wise man. She was the reason why the positive traits of my brother came out. Thanks to you little angel from above.

Am I satisfied with my name? Am I willing to change it?

Yes, I am 100% satisfied with my name. And if given a chance to change it, I would still choose it because the name itself has a scar left in my heart that can't be taken away. A scar that always reminds me to forgive someone and give them chance for them to continue life and be successful in the future.

So, we should treasure our family like the most precious gold. They might fall, but as a family we should give them a shoulder to cry on and give them reason to continue life and be better. Actually I'm a bit emotional right now while writing this, because I honestly treasure my family. And I don't want to disappoint my parents that I became their first born who will be their partner in disciplining my siblings. But we can't control their decisions, all we need to do is to pray hard so that they will come back and be better.

********

I guess that would be all for today. Thank you STEEMING COMMUNITY TEAM especially to sir @juichi for coming up with this topic with mam @cryptokannon's lead of @steemingcuration. Yes, this is a contest with reward but I guess I already received my reward. I was able to express what I felt long time ago and I was able to inspire people not to judge their family who failed because we really don't know what comes ahead if we would give them chance. DAGHANG SALAMAT @steemingzen. SA SUNOD NAPUD NA CONTEST.

Keep safe everyone and have an awesome day!

I invited @mercy11, @marzyoung22, and @rye143 to also post their entry because I am sure they also have their story to tell.

Love Lots,

@kyrie1234
