Plant Benefits Jarak Pagar (jatropha curcas. L., Euphorbiaceae)

Are you healthy and happy? I always pray that all of us are always protected by Allah and given health. During a pandemic like today, health is the main thing, therefore maintaining health is our daily duty. This time I want to post about herbal remedies that I often use to cure flatulence and colds in children and babies.

Often children or babies experience flatulence and colds, but few of us know that jarak pagar (jatropha curcas. L., Euphorbiaceae) can be one of the herbal medicines that are often used by mothers from ancient times until now. How to use it is not complicated and difficult, follow the steps below:

• Choose the leaves of Jarak Pagar that are still young and good, then pick 2-3 leaves along with the stalks.

• Bake the castor leaves over low heat until the Jarak Pagar look slightly wilted but evenly distributed.

• Apply coconut oil on the surface of the leaves evenly until the surface of the Jarak pagar is filled with the oil.

• Paste the Jarak Pagar that has been smeared with coconut oil on the surface of the baby's stomach and then cover it
with a cloth so it doesn't come off easily.

This is one of the herbal medicines that is often used by my family from the past until now. Alhamdulillah, the baby's stomach bloating and colds healed quickly.
