Tamara: (Grabs Rose’s hand) No, you are not dead. You are passing through this now but you sure are going to learn to leave it behind you.
Rose: Tamara! This pain and hurt will never leave me.
Tamara (Crying) I know! I know! (slowly pressing Rose’s head towards the pillow) Close your eyes dear.
Rose feels tremendous pain blaming herself every day for not allowing her son to stay with his grandfather. Since the day of the sad incident, her life becomes like a turtle whose shell has been stripped off. She keeps on wondering what she is still living for.
Dickson Wallace: Have this… This is sweet potato pie. I specially made it for you. (Drops the plate of pie on the table).
Rose did not care to look at the plate of delicious pie presented to her.
Dickson Wallace Rose my baby, please try it.
Rose sits close to the window in the dining room staring at what was beyond the reach of her eyes, basically gazing at nothing. Her body is present but her mind and soul are not.
Dickson Wallace: Rose, just have a taste... Rose, Rose!!
Rose: I am not hungry (She says after her mind is restored).
Dickson Wallace: Starving yourself and thinking will not do you any good.
Rose: Starving myself is not enough.
Dickson Wallace: Stop! Rose, do not kill yourself. You want to commit suicide while the bastard who killed your son is roaming the streets freely. It is not your fault Rose. Bad things happen whether we prevent them or not.
