Me gusta fotografiarlos aunque no es nada facil hacerlo, eso se los aseguro, este animal es muy nervioso y no puede estar quieto por mucho tiempo, asi que toca hacerlo desde lejos para no espantarlo.
Posee una diversidad de colores y el que mas resalta en el, es un verde oscuro el cual lo puede ayudar a camuflarse entre las hojas y no ser atacado por cualquier depredador.

Les gusta merodear las flores que poseen un gran tamaño, entre ellas estan las de cayena y la de maracuya, muchos de ellos se pueden hasta pelear por tener el mejor lugar, deben ganarla muy bien.
Son muy diminutos lo que le permite a otros animales atacarlos con frecuencia y comerlos de forma rapida, debemos ayudarlos colgando bebederos para ellos y otras aves que lleguen cansadas, y tambien sembrar mas plantas de jardin con muchas flores.
