What is cloud computing?

In simple words, cloud computing is a situation where computing will be done from a remote location rather than a typical computer, laptop, or any portable hardware. It is called a new type of network-based computing. The basic goal of cloud computing was to provide all kinds of IT resources and services like networking, applications, storage capacity, programming tools, communication services, and collaboration tools. Cloud computing get started as some giant internet service provider companies like Google, Amazon, Facebook, and others built their infrastructures. The main purpose of cloud computing was the platforms will provide on-demand services like always-on services, services can get from anywhere, anytime, and any place.

When we talk about could computing architecture, the first thing that came is it has three sections. They are:

• The front end: It is the client end. Mainly the client computer and the application to enter inside the cloud computing system. An example of this cloud section is entering any social platform accounts using its application interface or the interface from the browser.

• The central system: It is mainly the administrative zone for a cloud computing system. Here all the client requests have been monitored and all the request traffic has been maintained to run the system smoothly. This section works as a connector between the other two layers.

• The back end:This is the main data server of the system. This section, includes various computers, data storage, and servers. All the data processing and other task are done here.

If we discuss the architecture and the flow of a social platform like Facebook, first of all when a user sent a login request from its front end then the request went to the middleware or the central system and pass it through several protocols, and then it will finally reach to the back end and process the request.

In cloud computing, we have three service modules. Let's talk about them:

• Platform as a Service(PaaS): It provides the runtime environment like the development, deployment, build, and test of the application.

• Software as a Service(SaaS): It provides the service environment to the raw level or end level users.

• Hardware as a Service(HaaS): It is the lower level of the data service. It provides the main data processing service of cloud computing.

Based of the access type to the cloud we found several modes in cloud computing. In general we found three basic modes in cloud computing. Let's discuss about those:

• Public Cloud: In this category, the cloud server is accessible to every general public. Users from every aspects may use this type of cloud. For example: e-mail service.

• Private Cloud: This category of cloud is applicable for any particular company or organization. The security for this cloud is much more higher rather than the public cloud.

• Hybrid Cloud: This type of cloud is the composition of public and private cloud.

We found limitless uses and applications of cloud computing. It is one of the new technology and concept of computing. Cloud computing provided better user experiences. Let's see some uses of applications of cloud computing:-

• First thing of cloud computing providing us is, we can access any particular application and the their data form anywhere at any moment.
• From the hardware point of view, cloud computing is providing us a great facilities. If we didn't had cloud computing then we had to buy hardware for every particular application. But cloud computing provided us facility that, we don't need to worry about hardware. We just need to have internet connection and we will get all the services by the application.
• Application maintenance is been reduced due to cloud computing. If we didn't had cloud computing we had to go through a tough process to maintain the application in failure case.

Some disadvantages of cloud computing

Like other technologies we also have some disadvantages in cloud computing. Let's discuss about some limitations:

• In cloud computing we mainly store data in cloud, from some peoples point of view it may create a security issue.
• Performance issue may occoure if we don't have high speed internet connection.
• Also high user traffic may occoure performance issue.
