Deepfake technology and it's implementations
Deepfake technology is one of technologies that has risen as a result of artificial intelligence being able to stimulate the likeness of another and replace it another.
Deepfake comes from the deep learning which is an ability of AI to stimulate reality.
Deepfake technology uses deep Learning algorithms to teach it selves how to solve complex problems given a large database.
There are many methods of creating Deepfakes,one of them uses neural network invilving autoencodre that can use face swappibg techniques. The vidoes that are to be created soes not ned to be relatwd to what is be made. The only important thing is to provide the algorithm with enough data about the person to use so that it can create a deepfake with the person's face.
Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) is a machine learning technology used to detect and improve deepfake errors. This makes it difficult for deepfake detectors to decode them.
There many apps and softwares that can generate deepfakes very easy even for novice such as deepface lab, faceapp (an application with an embedded AI techniques), face swap and Zao a Chinese application. Most of these deepfake software can be found on Github as it has a larger amount deepfake softwares. As Github is an open source community anyone can use these software. Most of these applications are used for entertainment.
The movie industries and gaming communities are some of the organisations that uses deepfake in the production of movies and games.An example is the fast and furious 7 when Paul Walker passsed, deepfake was used in his place to finish the movie.
Deepfake technology has led to uneasiness as popular personalities are depicted to have said or done things which aren't true. It has led to the wide spread of fake news and fraudulent activities. A company lost lots of money due to deepfake as the company received a call from the CEO which was in fact deepfake. Videos are not the only thing that can be deepfake but sounds as well.
It has been used to some extent for malicious activities in recent times. The biggest treat is to females
, as non-consensual porn accounts for 96% of the deepfake currently seen on the internet most targets are celebrities.
Some countries and states have made laws to address this issue. China and South Korea have prohibited deceptive deepfake on their countries.

Deepfake technology is one that could revolutionise our film and gaming industries. It can be used along side virtual reality if it is implemented in the right way. It can be used as work of art. Though it has major risks that could also be damaging too.
