Hope you all are doing well?? Information has become and always was a pillar for everything and anything we do. For every decision or choice we make, we always need the information to be able to do it. For business, they might collect data which will then be converted into information. I said the company collects data because the information they get from performing surveys is initial data because they still have to be processed to make perfect sense in business terms to be considered information by the organization. Now all the information that is being processed have to be managed, stored, organized and all the processes are now achieved through some series of the system hence, the innovation of information systems.
What Is an information system??
So just as I said earlier, an information system in layman’s terms is an organizational system designed to gather, process, store, and share information. Information systems comprise a few components like people, structure, technology, and task which all are geared to seeking better performance and the betterment of the organization. The task component of the information systems takes into consideration the type of tasks the organization performs, the size of those tasks, and the duration for the completion of the task, all these factors are all in service to the improved efficiency in the organization. The technology component of the information systems, also has to do with the type of hardware and software devices that are being used to manage the information of the organization, like how fast those devices are or the internet connection bandwidth is low and all technology-related factors to better improve the organization. There are different types of information systems used all over by different organizations.

This type of information system is mostly used in businesses to keep track of all the transactions and the modification of all that data and the retrieval of the data. This system is known for its reliability, performance, and consistency. This information system has also adopted the batch processing system which allows for many processes to be executed at the same time. An example of a transaction process system is a hotel, the process of keeping records of employees visitors and the payroll of those employees, and all the other transactions involved with the hotel
Business Intelligence systems.

This type of information system involves the combination of information systems management with the ability for the collected data and knowledge to be analyzed into meaningful information that can be acted upon, hence an effective information system that can help strategic and tactical leaders of organizations to make proper and well-informed decisions to positively impact the organization. A clear example of the business intelligence system is the use of predictive modeling and data mining software to detect and arrange patterns in data to make meaningful information in order to help managers to make well-informed decisions.

This type of information system is a bit like that of the business intelligence system. This information system is used to help coordinate and control analysis and visualize the information of the organization to help in decision making. This information system typically consists of both hardware and software that are used to mine data from different systems and then analyze them to help in decision making. An example of a management information system is a management support system or software responsible for the management of the data and the sending of reports to be used to address the need of the organization.
Information systems have so far digitalized everything and with these emerging technology coming up I strongly believe that information systems are going to be more effective and efficient with time considering even now It is even possible to assess an organization's resources from the comfort of your home to work and more.
