Hope you all are doing good??? Buying and selling of goods and service have been now been advance thanks to technology of recent times. Now one can order a service of product anywhere and anytime even at the comfort of their rooms and that service or product will be delivered to you instead of the moving from one place to the other just to purchase that product. Even the basics of products are now automated, am talking about cooked food and sweets all these petty services have been automated to adapt to the e-commerce business to promote sales and make more profits. I will be sharing some more light on the three (3) types of e-commerce and the benefits and importance e-commerce have provided to business of all kind.
What is E-commerce??
Ecommerce is basically the purchasing and selling of goods and services over the internet. These processes are conducted using electronic devices like, computers, laptops, tablets, and any other smart device. E-commerce has made it possible for almost anything to be purchased online. Now e-commerce simply works by first the service provider creates a website which displays all his/her products and all the customer also has to do is to visit the platform and select the service or product of their chose and from then will a payment option will be suggested for the customer to pay for the service or product demand, once the payment is done, the product will be delivered to the customer at his/ her place of choosing per the address enter when making the an order. E-commerce usually occurs or operates in three(3) different ways either business-to-business, business-to-consumer or consumer-to-consumer. I will share some light on these types of e-commerce operations.

As can be realized from the name, it has to do with the selling and purchase of goods and service in wholesales online from one business to another business. B2B service is just conduced as any other e-commerce platform but in whole sales. A great example of a business to business e-commerce are Amazon, Alibaba and many others. These e-commerce platforms a linked with huge and big businesses which has displayed their products and service on these platform but only deal with selling to other business. Another example of B2B e-commerce is the transactions between a manufacturer and a distributor.

This type of e-commerce also involves retail trading between businesses and consumers. With this type of e-commerce it involves transacting directly with consumers without the need for middlemen so all businesses that sell their products and services online to consumers directly practices the business-to-consumer type of e-commerce. An example of this type of business is, Zappos.com platform and online booking systems, where the consumers or users directly access and purchase services and products.

This type of e-commerce facilitates the transaction of goods and services between two different individuals. With this type of e-commerce also, it connects two people who both want the same service to make a business transaction online. A typical example is when one individual needs a service to be performed for them and sends a request on an e-commerce platform like LinkedIn and another user comes across that request and has the expertise and is qualified to do that job, he can then accept to the request and do the job and then get paid for his work.
E-commerce have made it very easy, faster and much simply and even most importantly it has impacted us very much during the Covid-19 pandemic era with the issue of social distancing, so instead of making too much contact in the process of purchasing a product or service the e-commerce has made it possible to avoid social contact in that process hence helping us contain the pandemic among many other things.
