Hello,
Dear friends on steemit, I hope each one of you is doing well, it's good to be with you today and take part in this nice and exciting contest organized by @hive-138339 in partnership with @Steem-bangladesh. I appreciate your generosity, support and kindness and I pray that may you please leave longer and enjoy the blessings from God of your good doings.
In the African culture, there is a saying that
"Atanayitayita, yatenda nyinna okufumba" which literally mean He who has never traveled, praises his mother to be the best chef ever"
Initially, this means if one wants to discover good things including food, should travel to different places and parts of the world 😊😊
In the picture above, it's me with my other friends when we visited **Ibanda District in Uganda Africa ** for a traditional marriage of my friend called Joe. Ibanda is found in the western region of Uganda, about 300 kilometers from Kampala the capital city of Uganda. This place is well known of having cool and fresh Air from the mountains surrounding and basically the people in this area are farmers who engage in both growing crops and keeping animals on both large and small scale. Actually this makes to be known as a state of milk and Honey 😋😋
During the traditional marriage party, we were saved with fresh local foods Ie Matooke (Plantain) Rice, Kalo (Millet) greens (Vegetables) Meat, chicken with some passion juice. The food was really so sweet because it was prepared in the African style of no use of oils (Boil) so everyone enjoyed the food and some went for another second round because of its sweetness 🤭🤭.
What I will never forget and which made my visit more colorful is the cultural dance presented by the Abataguluzi (Traditional dancers)!! These dancers could communicate good things about life through dancing and this left a beautiful smile to many of the attendees including myself.
On our way back to our homes, we were given fresh
- Milk
- Honey
- Matooke
- Meat
Which I brought and enjoyed with my family.
For anyone who wants to tour around Uganda, I would recommend Ibanda District as the best area for you to visit.
This is my travel edition that's Not worth forgetting.
Regards to you all
